The C8 Corvette might be the last Corvette that is the most power flat plane crank naturally aspirated engine before they start adding hybrid and electric versions of the C8 like the Eray, ZR1 or the Zora
In this video from HorsePower Obsessed he noticed a picture that was leaked on the corvette blogs and forums where there was a C8 Z06 on display and it had a expo type banner that says it does 10.6 seconds in the quarter mile.
The picture looks like its from the NASCAR event this past weekend in Phoenix, Arizona at PIR. We noticed the same photo and video of the yellow C8 Z06 shared on Instagram.

Available with the Z07 performance package option it the greatest track capability and provides 734 pounds of downforce at 186 mph, more than any Corvette ever. Also, with the Z07 package and Carbon Fiber Wheels which reduce weight by 41lbs that is the lightest version of the new C8 Z06 around 3450 lbs dry weight before fluids and gas added.

One of the most interesting things he mentions is the C8 Corvette Z06 on an All Wheel Drive Dyno. If this car is pushing 670 horsepower with an All Wheel Drive option like a Lamborghini 610-4 we might be able to see low 10s in the quarter mile stock.
Also, with the E Ray, Hybrid Corvette C8 ZR1, and possibly Zora (all electric) Corvette that pushes 1000 Horsepower like the Tesla Plaid going all wheel drive will be a must to compete and not spin since spinning ain’t winning!

And now today at the Petersen Museum in Los Angeles the reveal of the 2023 C8 Corvette Z06 shed light on all the speculation and confirmed the following details!
Features of the engine include titanium intake and sodium filled exhaust valves, forged aluminum pistons, forged titanium connecting rods, and an active split intake manifold with twin 87-mm throttle bodies.
They still didn’t provide production or release dates, pricing (most likely $85-$95k to start), lists and mark up information. We have heard dealers already with 1000+ people on their lists and will be marking them up again anywhere from $10-50k.
Other things they didn’t mention was top speed and weight (updated here, 3450 with the Z07 full carbon fiber/wheels). So our guess is either its the same or not impressive enough to share.
2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Visualizer to build out your Corvette Z06 if you are lucky enough to get one with list being over 1000 people at most of the top Chevy Dealers.
We have heard from a local Arizona Chevy dealer that the production will start in the summer of 2022. Also, dealers like Coughlin Chevrolet just announced they will using a bidding process for highest bidders to get the C8 Z06 first. You can learn more about that at Rick Corvette Conti’s YouTube channel.
In another recent update here in January of 2022 there are several YouTubers and C8 Forums buzzing about a part supplier for the C8 Z06 saying they need to be ready April 22nd producing the part they do for the Corvette Z06 which coincides close to the 2023 C8 Corvette May 9th production dates released to dealers.
The new videos that Chevrolet keeps releasing keeps talking about putting the world on notice as a global car and to take on the exotics and supercars.
This was recently discussed here in a YouTube video about how the C8 Z06 Production will not be limited which again is speculation and nothing official from General Motors or Chevrolet.
Anyone else notice like Chevy Dude that the 2023 C8 Corvette Z06 was on an all wheel drive dyno? Does that mean there will be an all wheel drive version of the C8 Corvette Z06 or a 670-4 to compete with the Lamborghini Huracan 610-4?

Speed Phenom recently interviewed a Corvette engineer that said the dry weight of the lightest version of the C8 Corvette Z06 was 3450 and that would be the Z07 package version with the carbon fiber wheels.

He uses a C7 Z06 Corvette Price Configurator to as a reference point to the new C8 Z06 Corvette which everyone thinks will be starting in the $90k range which would be about 8k more then that C7 Corvette pricing started out as.

Recently, Rick Corvette Conti said he has seen the engine, interior and some new features too was this what he was hinting at too?
You can see now in the video when in this new Track Display mode it tells you when to shift and goes from Green, Yellow to Red for the shift points.
If you click “numerical” in the tachometer Track mode you can see the RMP gauge giving the exact RPM real time read out. And when you start driving it will show you the shift points. This could be a preview into the new C8 Z06 numerical RPM tachometer display.

We first reported on the C8 Z06 at the Nurburgring back in early August but there continues to be a lot of testing leading up to the October 26th, 2021 reveal of the C8 Z06 and production information as well as specs and price.
There are dealers that have 900+ people on waiting lists already for the new 2023 C8 Corvette Z06 models and a lot of speculation that the C8 Z06 is already sold out and dealers have already confirmed C8 Z06 mark ups again as they did and continue to do with the base model C8 Corvette Stingray and Z51 package.
