Here’s How Much a 2022 C8 Corvette Sold For

In this video from NoLimitMax she shares his experience of selling a brand new 2022 C8 Corvette 2LT for $95,000 after paying $72,000 + sales tax.($78,000). He thought $22,000 over MSRP would be fair.

This video is a great breakdown of the current state of the C8 Corvette market and as you can see two years later after the 2020 release of the Corvette C8 they are still selling for well above MSRP including now the C8 Z06.

This also doesn’t include how much the car dealer sold it for once they purchased it from him for $95,000.

He waited 10 months for the torch red Corvette C8 2LT and drove it for about 1,000 miles before selling it and loved it. However, he knew it would be worth more than he paid for it and wanted to take advantage of the current Corvette C8 market while it’s still hot vs. the Corvette C7 which is still sky high.

Carmax offered $92,000 so he decided to cold call local Chevy Dealers in his area and came up with the $95,000 sales price that he would be happy with and sell it to a dealer to make it easy.

Protection Film Solutions Breaks Down their C8 Corvette Build

In this video Protective Film Solutions in California breaks down their complete C8 Corvette build the “C8 GT4.R” with a new Apex Wheel launch.

Their C8 Corvette has over 12,000 miles on it and have been driving it to all the local shows, on Rallies and have taken it on track and haven’t had any issues. They took it out to Laguna Seca and was flawless and easiest car to drive with the dual clutch transmission. They also mention on the Long tail rally they did over 4,500 miles and some of the exotic cars would break down.

They have had the C8 Corvette for 8-9 months and would absolutely do it all over again especially at the 85k MSRP they bought it for. Also, price to value with under 3 seconds in 0 to 60 nothing beats it.

We covered their entire C8 Corvette build process since they received their first Racing Sport Concepts carbon fiber parts.  They mentioned they can be a one and done shop for anyone that wants to replicate the same process on their C8 Corvette to have their own “C8 GT4.R”.

Here are the build specs of this C8 Corvette GT4.R and leave a comment below to guess how much this build will cost. They didn’t say in the video but maybe they will release that pricing soon. It depends on how much of the build you do as well.

General Motors Bowling Green Assembly Plant Facing Another UAW Strike?

In this video from Brink of Speed on YouTube he discusses C8 Forum chatter that is talking about another UAW strike like the one that happened in 2019.

You can learn more about the UAW possible strike again in his video below and at this Bowling Green News site.

What’s next for perhaps the region’s best-known employer?

Potential new labor problems, this time arising not from the national United Auto Workers union but from a local contract involving working conditions and perks that members of UAW Local 2164 believe aren’t being addressed.

The Chevrolet Corvette plant workers who make up Local 2164 sent an unmistakable message about the local contract last week, when 98% of the plant’s production workers and 97% of its skilled trades workers voted to reject an offer from plant management that didn’t include many of the demands being made by union leadership.

“We pretty much knew what the outcome would be,” said Jason Watson, shop chairman for Local 2164. “It’s disappointing that the company doesn’t take into consideration what the hourly workers are asking for in improvements.”

In 2019, the UAW strike cost GM 4 billion dollars an this was another reason their was a delay and lower C8 Corvette production numbers since this hit before Covid did in March of 2020.

There has also been information released that the 2023 C8 Corvettes including the C8 Z06 production should start in May 9th.

Another YouTuber Brink of Speed also shared his thoughts about the recent C8 Corvette Z06 production rumors, comments, and videos.

He has a direct email from a parts manufacture for the C8 Corvette Z06 and his email has some very specific details. They are estimating 60 per day production and about 10,200 C8 Corvette Z06 produced with about 15,000 Corvette C8 Z06s made every year after. Check out the video below to see the email that was sent from a Gmail account that coincides with the comment shared above on a C8 Corvette Forum.

C8 Corvette Gets Wrapped Inozetek Metallic Racing Green

In this video you can see Racing Sport Concepts white C8 Corvette get transformed with Inozetek’s Metallic Racing Green wrap material.

In Inozetek’s Instagram post Racing Sport Concepts mentions Black Star or @goblackstar on Instagram did the wrap so perhaps “Car WrapKing Vinyl Wraps” filmed it or this is their new YouTube channel.

Either way they did an amazing job and that color looks awesome with Racing Sport Concepts full C8 Corvette carbon fiber body kit.

Rick Corvette Conti Jumping a C8 Corvette?

In this video from Rick Corvette Conti on YouTube he shares the latest C8 Corvette news and has a date set for his C8 Corvette “Evil Knievel ” type of stunt jump which is December 19th, 2021.

C8 Corvette Plant Slowdowns

Rick mentions a lot of his C8 Corvettes for customers are just sitting at the Bowling Green, KY plant for over month that he thought he should of received by now.

C8 Corvette Z06 Pricing

Rick also shares his thoughts on the C8 Corvette Z06 Pricing YouTube videos and confirms its all speculation as he speculates the pricing will come out in January or February 2022 from Chevrolet and General Motors officially.

Heated Steering Wheel

If you don’t get a heated steering wheel with any GM vehicle you get a $25.00 credit, 1 year free remote access plan, and they will retrofit your car when the part comes in since it’s been effected like many things with the supply chain and chip shortage.

Rick Corvette Conti C8 Corvette Jump

Rick Conti mentions he will be jumping his C8 Corvette Evil Knievel style with a full video production type video on December 19th, 2021. He will be sharing the video on his YouTube channel here and he has already completed the jump and has some slight injuries from that and also jumping over his car.

He mentions he messed up his C8 Corvette Convertible by jumping it but it is currently fixed already. It was a lot more damage then he expected and you will have to watch his YouTube channel Dec 19th to see the video of the C8 Corvette jump.

C8 CORVETTE JUMPS OVER ANOTHER C8

So here is the video of Rick Corvette Conti Jumping a C8 Corvette over another C8 Corvette. Real or Fake with good high production paid for editing? Leave your comment below.

He conveniently does the “jump” at night, in the rain, in a “private lot” that looks like a commercial building or school parking lot. You don’t see him land or go ramp to ramp and supposedly lands on asphalt but runs out of the car ok and the car flys down the concrete at 70MPH.

Unlike StreetSpeed717 where you clearly see him jump his lambo over his other lambo there is some fishy stuff going on here with Rick and looks more like a high production magic trick of the mind on some of his YouTube Commentors which also appear to fake? (a lot of comments from profiles with no pictures, videos on their page, about section blank ect..)

WHAT DID WE DO? EVEL KNIEVEL CORVETTE JUMP FOLLOW UP

Here is the follow up to the Rick Corvette Conti C8 Corvette jump that was fake and all for “entertainment” and “views”.  So if you enjoy fake car jump videos this one is for you! lol

2023 C8 Z06 Corvette Pricing (LEAKED VIDEO)

Check out this video from Brink of Speed on YouTube where he leaks the 2023 C8 Z06 Corvette pricing starting at $88,000.

He supposedly has a Chevrolet C8 Corvette Z06 build sheet with all the pricing including Carbon Fiber Wheels at $11,000 and the Z07 package adding another $9,500.

UPDATED – someone in the comments is saying they made this up. With the internet nowadays you never know what is true, false, made up. As we discussed in past C8 z06 posts its all pure speculation until Chevrolet or General Motors officially announces it.

c8 corvette comments

Also, if you want to go with the 3LZ option that’s another $11,950. You will see in this build its priced out to about $144,000 including $8k in Tax.

Some other interesting pricing shows the C8 Corvette Z06 Convertible starting at $95,500 or $106,995 in the 3LZ option before adding the Z07 package or any other carbon fiber add ons for the C8 Corvette Z06.

Interestingly enough this $88,000 starting price for the 2023 C8 Corvette Z06 is in line with the “CONFIRMED” by two Chevy Dealers pricing of $87,000 that HorsePower Obsessed leaked as well which is about $1k off.

How to Lower C8 Corvette (VIDEO)

Back in June of 2020 months after the C8 Corvettes started rolling out to customers we created this post on How to Lower the C8 Corvette as people started with the aftermarket mods.

One of the biggest issues cosmetically with the C8 Corvette is the big wheel gap and horrible stock wheel choices. The black trident wheel is probably the best option but again the offset isn’t as good as it could be and still a massive wheel gap that doesn’t look good for a mid engine sports car.

Since the wheels and wheel gap are an issue the most popular mods are getting aftermarket wheels for the C8 Corvette and lowering the C8 Corvette with exhausts, bolt ons, and wrapping their C8 Corvettes being very popular as well.

In this video most recent 2021 video by Paragon Performance and aftermarket marketplace for C8 Corvette mods explains every option depending on you having a base model C8 Corvette with no lift and no Z51 option to having the front lift and Z51 C8 Corvette stingray.

They sell front collars, suspension kits, and springs to lower your C8 Corvette. If you go to their site and order anything mention you found them on C8CorvetteBlog.com in the notes or when you call.

C8 Corvette Z06 1/4 Mile 10.4 Seconds (VIDEO)

Check out this video by Brink of Speed on YouTube where he shares a video from a follower of his that recorded a Spokeswoman at the LA Auto Show announce a 10.4 1/4 Mile and 0 to 60 time of 2.6 seconds.

This is faster than the posted time on some recent expo signage as they been taking the New C8 Corvette Z06 cars on a road show to automotive events across the country including SEMA, Phoenix International Raceway, Road Atlanta and now the LA Auto Show.

This is for the Non Z07 package that has the bigger wing and aero which is a more track focused car vs a drag strip car where you wouldn’t want to have the big wing from the Z07 package and much rather have the more sleeker duck bill type spoiler that the base model or non Z07 package C8 Z06 has.
