Magnaflow Exhaust for the C8 Corvette Not Loud Enough?

In this video from TJ Hunt on YouTube he helps his girlfriend Sabrina with her first mod to her new C8 Corvette they she purchased at West Coast Exotics. The first mod she is going with is a Magnaflow Exhaust ($4,739) for the C8 Corvette.

You will see them install the Magnaflow cat back exhaust for the C8 Corvette step by step and they take it for a test drive doing some rips.

In the video they are questioning whether it is loud enough or not and this is an exhaust that TJ Hunt helped with the design idea. The biggest thing TJ Hunt didn’t like was that it wasn’t too loud. However, he helped them create the X Mod which allows you to remove the mufflers and then it becomes a straight pipe exhaust.

What do you think should they take the X Mod exhaust mufflers off or leave it as it is? If you want to learn more about the Magnaflow exhaust system for the C8 Corvette check out this link and let them know C8CorvetteBlog.com sent you if you end up purchasing it from them.

Also, Sabrina’s next mods for the C8 Corvette is a Car Wrap and C8 Corvette Aftermarket Wheels!

Borla Provides an Update on their Corvette C8 Exhaust

We first posted about the Borla C8 Corvette Exhaust almost a year ago.

Today, Borla  shared this video on why it took so long for them to make a cat back exhaust for the C8 Corvette and what the difference is with their system vs. other C8 catback exhausts.

They were looking for a more exotic car sound and they wanted to make sure the NPP valves with the different touring, sport, and track modes were used properly with the AFM valves. They have intercooled exhaust tips and wanted to make C8 Corvette owners didn’t have to worry about the heat produced from the cat back exhaust.

Soul Performance Launches New C8 Corvette Valved Exhaust

Soul Performance was one of the first companies to make an aftermarket exhaust for the C8 Corvette thanks to StreetSpeed717 wanting the loudest exhaust possible.

Since then they have made high end quality sport cats and a straight piped cat back exhaust that was the same exhaust StreetSpeed717 put on his C8 Corvette.

Now Soul Performance just launched their Valved Exhaust for people that want to be able to switch to the the loudest C8 Corvette exhaust on the market and back to daily driving mode and a lot quieter tone. It’s starting at $4,195 and goes up to $4,395. Make sure you tell them C8CorvetteBlog.com sent you.

Check out their video and information on their C8 Corvette exhaust.

Our Valved Exhaust System and Sport Catalytic Converters offer increases in power and sound with no compromises or check engine lights.

DEVELOPMENT GOALS -Improve upon the factory design to increase and refine the V8 tone.

-Increase the presence and character of the exhaust note in the cabin while maintaining a reasonable level of resonance / drone while driving in both the valves closed and open modes through our signature drone fighting capabilities.

-Heighten aggressiveness with valves open while maintaining an overall sound level potential / quality that can still be reasonably driven on the street in combination with other complimentary aftermarket exhaust components – such as Sport Catalytic Converters or headers.

-Offer the ability to notably reduce the sound level of the car outside to fly under the radar when necessary.

-Achieve an effective delta in sound between both modes for two usable, well engineered experiences – mild and wild. RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT

With valves closed, the exhaust is routed through a bespoke SOUL chambered muffler we designed with an internal X-Pipe to meet our sound goals. This unique muffler was crafted to match our high standard of drone fighting mufflers that we are known for in the Porsche world. We tested a more traditional perforated core muffler design as well but the carefully engineered chambers of the final muffler result in a more aggressive sound on and off throttle with reduced undesirable tones.

With valves open, exhaust flow is free to exit through 3″ piping for a thunderous roar. Secondary flow through the muffler and x-pipe reduces rasp and smooths the exhaust note for a higher pitched, more refined sound. The end result is two distinct and enjoyable sound modes – mild and wild.

AFM valve deletes are included for the factory exhaust valves (designed to limit flow in four-cylinder mode) in order to delete them without triggering a check engine light. Due to the close proximity of the exhaust to sensitive components and plastic, heat shields are a MUST.

We’ve partnered with PTP Turbo Blankets to produce a bespoke, form-fitting heat shielding solution. Far superior to no-name brand copies, PTP Lava Turbo Blankets are constructed with an outer layer made from pulverized volcanic lava rock (Rated 1800°F Direct Heat / 2500°F Radiant Heat) formed into fabric and woven into a tight mesh weave. These blankets are internally insulated with high temperature calcium magnesium silicate wool (Rated 1832°F Continuous / 2300°F Peak) overlaid with a high temperature stainless steel mesh for increased durability and improved thermal resistance. The Lava Blankets are designed to withstand the harshest of conditions.

CONSTRUCTION:  Each component is made in-house by our fabrication team from mandrel bent .060″ wall T304L stainless steel tubing, laser cut brackets, and waterjet cut flanges. Welds are back purged for proper penetration and maximum durability. Our 4″ double wall stainless steel tips are available in a number of finishes and have depth adjustment for perfect fitment to meet your desired aesthetic.

FINISHES:  SOUL tips are available in several styles and finishes. Natural finishes options include polishing, hand-brushing, and a matte Signature Satin. Black tips are ceramic coated with Jet-Hot for maximum bonding strength and increased finish durability. Looking for something unique?

Contact us for custom logos and colors. HJS HD 200 CELL CATALYSTS: The highest quality catalytic converters available, known for their industry leading flow and durability. With their premium wash coat full of precious metals, they are efficient enough at catalyzing to meet strict EURO 4 emission standards while still allowing for an increase in flow – all without a check engine light.

The HD design uses a stout triple foil winding for maximum strength. The brazing stripe is an extra feature in the interest of durability – it prevents the core from moving or experiencing any damage from sustained high horsepower abuse. We use a large and appropriately sized catalyst to allow for maximum gains – the same cats tested and proven on our McLaren and Porsche Turbo applications for big horsepower support.

BOLT ON AND GO:  Each exhaust component is built and tested in a thick gauge aluminum fixture (which prevents warping) to ensure perfect fitment. Every piece is rigorously quality-checked prior to shipping and then foam packed to ensure they arrive in perfect condition. LIFETIME

WARRANTY:  Enjoy your SOUL exhaust components with confidence on both the street and track as they are covered by our Lifetime Warranty!
