With valves closed, the exhaust is routed through a bespoke SOUL chambered muffler we designed with an internal X-Pipe to meet our sound goals. This unique muffler was crafted to match our high standard of drone fighting mufflers that we are known for in the Porsche world. We tested a more traditional perforated core muffler design as well but the carefully engineered chambers of the final muffler result in a more aggressive sound on and off throttle with reduced undesirable tones.
With valves open, exhaust flow is free to exit through 3″ piping for a thunderous roar. Secondary flow through the muffler and x-pipe reduces rasp and smooths the exhaust note for a higher pitched, more refined sound. The end result is two distinct and enjoyable sound modes – mild and wild.
AFM valve deletes are included for the factory exhaust valves (designed to limit flow in four-cylinder mode) in order to delete them without triggering a check engine light. Due to the close proximity of the exhaust to sensitive components and plastic, heat shields are a MUST.
We’ve partnered with PTP Turbo Blankets to produce a bespoke, form-fitting heat shielding solution. Far superior to no-name brand copies, PTP Lava Turbo Blankets are constructed with an outer layer made from pulverized volcanic lava rock (Rated 1800°F Direct Heat / 2500°F Radiant Heat) formed into fabric and woven into a tight mesh weave. These blankets are internally insulated with high temperature calcium magnesium silicate wool (Rated 1832°F Continuous / 2300°F Peak) overlaid with a high temperature stainless steel mesh for increased durability and improved thermal resistance. The Lava Blankets are designed to withstand the harshest of conditions.
CONSTRUCTION: Each component is made in-house by our fabrication team from mandrel bent .060″ wall T304L stainless steel tubing, laser cut brackets, and waterjet cut flanges. Welds are back purged for proper penetration and maximum durability. Our 4″ double wall stainless steel tips are available in a number of finishes and have depth adjustment for perfect fitment to meet your desired aesthetic.

It’s been years in the making and now Corsa Performance has finally launched a cat back exhaust for the C8 Corvette.
As we discussed before Atlanta Custom Wraps has first dibs and was testing the Corsa C8 Corvette Exhaust for the last year or so.
And now as of today Corsa launched a LIMITED supply of cat back exhausts, sport cats, headers, and a carbon fiber air intake.

Here you can see the difference between having the NPP valves open or not on their exhaust systems. They have 4 options for the C8 Corvette Cat Back Exhaust that depend on using the AFM valves and/or NPP Valves.
If that’s the case and you are getting error P12f0 code most likely when the cat back exhaust was installed the two AFM valves which are part number # 84896567 were not installed properly on the brackets or the performance shop and Chevy dealer pushed the valves all the way open and it got stuck.
Per Cicio Performance in regards to their AFM valve simulator module:
After installing several aftermarket exhaust systems on various C8’s, we quickly discovered that even though a lot of the systems on the market have the valve actuator brackets for the main valves when the car goes from 4cyl to 8cyl operation, that there is still a check engine light that appears.
We realized that this eye sore would not be preferable to 99% of the owners out there so we set out to figure out a solution for this.
Our exhaust module is a direct plug in item with very simple installation and will eliminate any check engine lights caused by the valve system on the factory exhaust!

The AFM or Active Fuel Management system on the new C8 Corvette is a great feature for all of us that love causing down the road getting good fuel milage on our 500hp car. However for those of us who want the addition of some extra music coming out of the tail pipes we may face a problem with the AFM valve systems in association with aftermarket exhaust systems. While some exhaust systems come with metal simulators they not only can be somewhat difficult to install but we have also found some of them don’t even remove the check engine light on all cars.
The electronic system on the new C8 as many of you I’m sure can imagine is extremely advanced and looks for things that some of the older models don’t, but we set out testing to find a solution for a direct plug and play, no questions asked solution to make your C8 happy even when installing aftermarket exhausts and or even turbo systems!
