The New Corvette E Ray is the quickest production Corvette ever made even with 300 more pounds in weight vs the C8 Corvette Z06 the electric motors and all wheel drive system on the Corvette E Ray helps power it to 10.5 in the quarter mile at 0 to 60 in 2.5 seconds.
The Corvette E-Ray is the first “Electrified” Corvette and could be a sneak peak into what the new C8 Corvette ZR1 or Zora could be. If Chevy continues down this path the new C8 Corvette ZR1 might be a Ferrari SF90 competitor with hybrid electric technology paired with a Twin Turbo V8 engine from Chevrolet.
Under 45mph it can be silent in the new “stealth” Chevrolet Corvette ERay mode and once it goes above that the rear engine 500hp kicks on.
C8 Corvette Z06 vs Corvette E Ray
The Corvette E-ray is if a base stingray C8 Corvette and C8 Z06 had a baby with electric hybrid motors added to the mix. It has the C8 Z06 widebody, wheels, and tires but the C8 Corvette Stingray LT2 V8 Engine. The pricing is very similar to the C8 Z06, looks like a C8 Z06 however doesn’t have that Ferrari 458 flat plane crank engine sound of the C8 Z06.

- Price, Corvette E Ray is starting at $2k less then the base model C8 Z06
- Engine, the main reason people loved the C8 Corvette Z06 is the flat plane crank high naturally aspirated revving engine with 670hp
- AWD, Corvette E Ray is all wheel drive vs the rear wheel drive C8 Z06
- Hybrid, Corvette E Ray has 160 hp hybrid assist electric motor similar to a Acura NSX which gives it more torque and the all wheel drive capabilities
- Body Color, Corvette E Ray looks to only have a body colored option standard on the car.
