Rick Corvette Conti on YouTube just let the Corvette community know that General Motors and Chevrolet are not accepting any more orders for the 2023 C8 Corvette Z06 until 2024!
The C8 Corvette has been nothing but issues since they debuted the car in the summer of 2019 in California. And when they did with a starting $59,995 price tag it increase the C8 Corvette demand like no other Corvette in it’s history being a new mid engine platform. People looked at it as they do with most Corvettes an American sports car with tremendous value.
Now almost three years later you can find C8 Corvettes selling above MSRP as many Chevy dealers marked up the C8 Corvette as well as the new and highly anticipated flat plane crank high revving C8 Corvette Z06 for 2023.
On July, 28th, 2022 about 9 months after the 2023 C8 Corvette Z06 reveal they opened up the order banks and provided about 315 allocations to Chevy dealers that quickly marked them up to $90k-100k to get the first C8 Z06s.
Along with the people having to pay mark ups for the early orders or being on lists for years they provided YouTubers and VIPs a chance to skip the long dealer lists and get theirs first as well. For example Emelia Hartford has been given two C8 Corvette Z06 press cars and has placed her order. Also, Austin with Speed Phenom has also entered his order as well with a Chevy Dealer in California that isn’t in the top 100 for Corvette sales.
And as of today September 2nd, 2022 Rick Corvette Conti a Corvette sales person in Ohio at Coughlin Chevrolet of Pataskala received noticed they are no longer taking orders for the C8 Corvette Z06 until 2023! He mentioned its due to supply chain which funny enough has effected the entire United States in many areas since November of 2020.
Also, we found out that one of the first C8 Corvette allocations that were suppose to be built September 19th 2022 has been pushed back until November, 2022.
