C8 ZR1 Price: 2027 MSRP by Trim, Price History and Real Cost

The C8 ZR1 has been on sale for three model years, and its price has moved every single one of them. That is why you see $174,995, $182,395 and $197,495 all quoted as “the ZR1 price” online. All three were right at the time. Below is every trim for 2027, the full price history since launch, what the big options cost now versus then, and what you actually pay on top of the sticker.

2027 Corvette ZR1 price by trim

The cheapest 2027 ZR1 is the 1LZ coupe at $197,495, and the most expensive trim is the 3LZ convertible at $218,495. Every figure below includes the $2,495 destination freight charge and the flat $300 increase Chevrolet applied to the whole 2027 Corvette lineup on September 28, 2026. None of them include the gas guzzler tax.

• The 2027 ZR1 1LZ coupe costs $197,495.
• The 2027 ZR1 1LZ convertible costs $207,495, so the retractable hardtop adds $10,000.
• The 2027 ZR1 3LZ coupe costs $208,495, so the 3LZ interior adds $11,000.
• The 2027 ZR1 3LZ convertible costs $218,495.
• There is no 2LZ on the ZR1. You pick 1LZ or 3LZ.

The base MSRPs behind those numbers are $194,700, $204,700, $205,700 and $215,700 as originally announced in April 2026, per Corvette Blogger's 2027 price list, which Edmunds also lists. Add $300 and the $2,495 destination charge and you land on the table above.

One heads up: the Chevrolet ZR1 page currently shows rounded “starting at” figures of $198,000 for the 1LZ and $209,000 for the 3LZ, and an “as shown” car at $255,335. Expect a few hundred dollars of difference between sources, and use the build-and-price tool for the exact number on the day you order.

ZR1 price history: 2025 vs 2026 vs 2027

The ZR1 1LZ coupe has gone up $22,500 since launch, from $174,995 for 2025 to $197,495 for 2027, about 12.9%. Every trim rose by the same dollar amounts, because Chevrolet moved the whole ZR1 price ladder together each year.

Year by year, the 2025 ZR1 1LZ coupe launched at $174,995. The 2026 ZR1 1LZ coupe cost $182,395, up $7,400, with $300 of that from a higher destination charge. The 2027 ZR1 1LZ coupe costs $197,495, up another $15,100. Of that second jump, $500 is the higher destination charge and $300 is the late-2026 lineup-wide increase; the rest is the MSRP itself.

The 2025 figures come from Motor1's 2025 ZR1 pricing report and include the $1,695 destination charge reported by TFL, and the 2026 figures from GM Authority’s 2026 Corvette pricing, which include a $1,995 destination charge. I track this because nobody else lays it out in one place, and it matters if you are shopping a used 2025 against a new 2027.

Searching for a “2020 ZR1 Corvette price”? There isn’t one. The mid-engine C8 ZR1 started with the 2025 model year, so 2025 is the first C8 ZR1 price there is. The ZR1 before it was the front-engine C7.

Options that move the ZR1 price

The ZR1 options that move the price most are the carbon fiber wheels at $15,995, the Carbon Fiber Aero Package at $12,995 and the ZTK Track Performance Package at $5,995 for 2027. The aero package and ZTK went up every year; the carbon wheels held at $13,995 for 2025 and 2026, then rose $2,000 for 2027. These are the 2027 prices from GM Authority's 2027 option price list, next to what they cost before.

• The 2027 ZR1 visible carbon fiber wheels cost $15,995, up $2,000 from 2026.
• The 2027 ZR1 Carbon Fiber Aero Package costs $12,995, up $2,500 from 2026 and $4,500 from the 2025 launch price of $8,495.
• The 2027 ZR1 ZTK Track Performance Package costs $5,995. It was $1,500 on the 2025 ZR1, which is why so many early buyers ticked the box.
• The 2027 front lift with memory costs $2,995.

Two notes on the ZTK. GM Authority lists a $4,395 price for 2026, but Corvette Blogger reported that 2026 ZR1 buyers waited most of the model year for the package and it never became available. So in practice the jump most people saw was $1,500 on a 2025 to $5,995 on a 2027.

Stack the four big performance options on a 2027 1LZ coupe (carbon wheels, carbon aero, ZTK and front lift) and you are at $235,475 before paint, interior, the gas guzzler tax and anything at the dealer. GM Authority priced a fully loaded 2025 ZR1 at $248,529, and Chevrolet’s own 2027 “as shown” car is $255,335.

What a ZR1 really costs on top of MSRP

On top of MSRP, a ZR1 buyer pays the gas guzzler tax, sales tax and registration, any dealer markup, and insurance. The sticker is only where the spending starts.

• Gas guzzler tax. The federal gas guzzler tax on the 2025 and 2026 ZR1 was $3,000, per GM Authority and Motorious. For comparison, the 2026 ZR1X carried $2,600. The 2027 ZR1 figure was not published in any source I could open, so check the window sticker.
• Sales tax, title and registration. These depend on your state and county, and on a car this price they add up fast. Ask the dealer for an out-the-door number in writing.
• Markup and allocation. Some dealers sell at MSRP, some add a market adjustment, and some only sell to customers with a purchase history. Prices on the secondary market swing a lot by spec. One 2027 ZR1 3LZ convertible with a $242,400 MSRP sold at auction for $250,000 plus fees. A 2027 ZR1X 3LZ with ZTK sold for $402,000 against a $290,289 MSRP. Call several dealers before you commit.
• Insurance. Expect a 1,064 hp car with a sticker near $200,000 to cost a lot to insure, and rates vary widely by driver, location and carrier. Get a quote before you sign, not after.

ZR1 vs ZR1X vs Z06 price

The 2027 ZR1 costs $75,800 more than a Z06 and $30,200 less than a ZR1X, comparing 1LZ coupes with destination included. Here is the 2027 ladder:

The 2027 Z06 1LZ coupe costs $121,695. The 2027 ZR1 1LZ coupe costs $197,495. The 2027 ZR1X 1LZ coupe costs $227,695. Look at the last column: all three work out to roughly $182 to $186 per horsepower. Chevrolet priced the ladder almost perfectly linear on power, so you are not getting a “deal” on any one of them. You are picking how much power, and whether you want the ZR1X’s front motor and all-wheel drive for another $30,200.

Is the ZR1 worth the money?

The ZR1 is worth it if you want the most power you can get in a rear-drive C8 and will use it. Its 5.5L twin-turbo LT7 makes 1,064 hp and 828 lb-ft, which is the reason the price starts near $200,000. If you want a C8 for the street, a Z06 or Grand Sport gives you a wide-body car for far less. If you want the quickest Corvette, the ZR1X is the step past it, with Chevrolet quoting 0 to 60 mph in 1.89 seconds against 2.3 seconds for the ZR1.
