Is The R8 Actually Worth It? vs the C8 Corvette?
Check out this video from YouTuber EddieX where he compares a C8 Corvette to his Audi R8. Right away a used R8 RWD in price doesn’t compare in price 130k vs. 85k, which on average is 45k more and has a lot less to offer especially in creature comforts.
With an Audi R8 there isn’t even a front lift option and the 0-60 times are a lot worse compared to the C8 Corvette that goes 0 to 60 in less than 3 seconds and the Audi R8 RWD is lucky to get a 3.7 zero to 60 time.

When brand new, the R8 and this C8 I’m driving are essentially $70,000 apart, but R8s are available used now, so the specific price delta here is $40,000. After having driven and tracked the new C8 Stingray, and been in many R8s (recently purchasing a 2018 R8 RWS), I started thinking about if the R8 is actually worth it. Wow, what a comparison! I’m glad to see the C8 Corvette coming out on top. The Audi R8 RWD is a beast on its own, but the Corvette’s power and handling really make it stand out. Can’t wait to see more comparisons like this in the future!
