Do you also have a love story with your car that you’d like to share?

Contact us at http://instagram.com/applewoodautogroup In today’s video, we had the chance of taking a ride with Norman’s unique Corvette C8.

After owning the car for 4 months, he is proud to admit falling in love more and more with the car every day. In his own words, “I didn’t pick this car because of its name, speed or price. I picked it because it just excited me”.

Driving the new mid-engine Corvette C8 around the streets of Vancouver’s Lower Mainland.

About the new Mid-engine Corvette C8, just recently released in Canada: Chevrolet fulfills the long-term promise of the iconic Corvette with the introduction of the new Stingray, the brand’s first-ever production mid-engine Chevrolet Corvette.

The sum of everything that came before it, the new Stingray is re-imagined to bring customers new levels of performance, technology, craftsmanship and luxury.

From front- to mid-engine, in under three seconds “Corvette has always represented the pinnacle of innovation and boundary-pushing at GM.

The traditional front-engine vehicle reached its limits of performance, necessitating the new layout,” said GM President Mark Reuss. “In terms of comfort and fun, it still looks and feels like a Corvette, but drives better than any vehicle in Corvette history. Customers are going to be thrilled with our focus on details and performance across the board.”

The new mid-engine layout gives the new Stingray: Better weight distribution, with the rear weight bias enhancing performance in a straight line and on the track. Better responsiveness and sense of control due to driver positioning closer to the front axle, almost on top of the front wheels.

The fastest 0-100 km/h time of any entry Corvette ever – 2.7 seconds when equipped with Z51 package. A race car-like view of the road due to lower positioning of the hood, instrument panel and steering wheel. Excellent forward sight-lines throughout the vehicle for both driver and passenger. An enhancement of Corvette’s traditional utility strengths, with dual trunks for a total of 357 liters (12.6 cubic feet) of cargo volume, ideal for luggage or two sets of golf clubs.

Design inspired by racing and aeronautics

The new Chevrolet Corvette C8 Stingray’s exterior has a bold, futuristic expression with mid-engine exotic proportions, but it is still unmistakably Corvette. It’s lean and muscular, with an athletic sculptural shape conveying a sense of motion and power from every angle. “

As America’s most iconic performance nameplate, redesigning the Corvette Stingray from the ground up presented the team a historic opportunity, something Chevrolet designers have desired for over 60 years,” said Mike Simcoe, vice president of Global Design, General Motors. “It is now the best of America, a new arrival in the mid-engine sports car class. We know Corvette can stand tall with the best the world has to offer.”

A supercar level of craftsmanship, premium materials and attention to detail were critical in designing every component of the Stingray. The new location of the engine is truly the focal point for the car’s design. It’s the heart of this next generation Corvette and it sits like a jewel in a showcase, visible through the large rear hatch window. The added attention to detail optimized the appearance of every wire, tube, bolt and fastener, similar to those found in modern track and all-road motorcycle design.

2020 C8 Corvette FIRST Oil Change & Transmission Service REQUIRED but NOT done

Check out this video by YouTuber HorsePower Obsessed where he gets his first oil change done on his C8 Corvette which is free after 8200 miles *usually due at 7,500 miles. He mentioned the transmission filter should be replaced too but he thought that is suppose to be free or a credit for $205.00 to replace that.

He also shows C8 Corvette owners why they should have an oil catch can.

KW Variant 5 Coilover Suspension Chevrolet C8 Corvette Stingray

If you want to lower your Corvette C8 one of the ways to do so is with KW’s new coilover Suspension they built specifically for the C8 Corvette.

Per KW’s video below:

KW is proud to announce the all-new Variant 5 Coilover Suspension System designed around the demands of today’s modern sport and supercars. The Variant 5 is the first four way adjustable coilover kit for road cars on the market with leading state-of-the-art KW Solid Piston Technology. The new C8 Corvette will experience the upgrade in the ride, handling, and performance with the new KW Variant 5 Coilover.

KW’s solid piston design in each Variant 5 Coilover reduces the amount of uncontrolled and unwanted suspension movement. This solid piston design also provides more platform to the chassis than conventional dampers, allowing a lower spring rate to be used, giving more overall compliance and superior handling.

The all-new Variant 5 Coilover also features precise 4-way dampening adjustment capabilities. When you’re looking to lower and improve your vehicle’s suspension, having rebound and compression adjustment is great, but having the ability to fine-tune your suspension movements at different speeds is even better. KW took the Variant 5 Coilover to a whole new level with high speed and low-speed tunability. High speed refers to suspension travel and events that the Coilover itself experiences very quickly, such as a sharp corner or a hard launch from a stop. Low-speed events refer to suspension movements that happen at a slower, more gradual pace, such as large sweeping corners or gradual acceleration. Having the ability to adjust high and low-speed suspension dampening independently, gives you unprecedented handling, performance, and control. This means every acceleration, steering movement, or braking event is tunable and precise.

The high and low-speed valves in every Variant 5 Coilover are built in a series, and each valve in the circuit is tuned to the respective vehicle application. With 13 clicks of high and low-speed rebound and compression adjustability, the Variant 5 Coilover offers an incredible range of desired forces in a more sensitive, cavitation-free package that responds immediately at high frequency.

KW Variant 5 Coilovers provide you with lowering capability, improved handling, and more adjustability all in one package.

The KW Variant 5 Coilovers feature: – Up to 35mm of lowering – Trapezoidal Thread with composite spring perch – 13 Clicks of Low-Speed Rebound Damping Adjustment – 13 Clicks of High-Speed Rebound Damping Adjustment – 13 Clicks of Low-Speed Compression Damping Adjustment – 13 Clicks of High-Speed Compression Damping Adjustment – SPRLH-A (Solid Piston Rebound Low High – Adjustable) Technology – SPCLH-A (Solid Piston Compression Low High – Adjustable) Technology – Limited Lifetime Warranty

Modified Chevrolet C8 Corvette Startup

Check out this video by ManusFilm on YouTube showing a C8 Corvette Start up and roll out at a local car show.

You can tell it has at least a cat back exhaust and has aftermarket C8 Corvette Wheels as well. It looks likes it has a satin white wrap on it too.

Any guesses on the Exhaust or Wheels leave a comment below? Kind of looks like Late Model Racecraft cat back exhaust and sounds like it too.

Drag Racing w/ Stradman (Tesla v C8 Corvette v Ferrari 458)

Check out this Video of Chandler David Smith and The Stradman Drag Race the C8 Corvette he purchased from the Stradman. He also added a titanium exhaust to the C8 Corvette recently too.

Per the video:

Chandler Smith and the Stradman drag race the Tesla model 3, C8 Corvette, and the Ferrari 458 Spider. This video was filmed the day that Chandler bought the Ferrari 458 spider from the Stradman. They decided to drag race all of the cars and see which was the fastest of the line. In this video, Chandler (in the C8 Corvette) beats the Stradman(driving the Ferrari 458 Spider. After this race the Stradman decided he wanted to take the Tesla against the c8. Surprisingly, the C8 Corvette beat the Tesla off of the line so the Stradman had to take another loss. This is a fun video that gives a great comparison of the three cars.
