This morning Chevrolet teased a 2023 C8 Corvette Z06 video on social media saying the details will be released this fall.
And from the “sounds” of it its going to be amazing and what everyone was expecting with a high revving, high pitched, high powered flat plane crank engine like the one in the C8R corvette racing team cars.
Here’s the video of the 2023 C8 Corvette Z06
Corvettes of Carlisle is August 26 – 28, 2021 and not quite fall but that would be a great spot to introduce the new C8 Corvette Z06 to the market if they were to do it.
The LA Auto Show is November 19th-28th at the Los Angeles Convention Center and Chicago had their car show but Detroit nixed their car show so possibly the Los Angeles Auto Show would be best place to announce more about the Z06 C8 Corvette if they don’t do it at Corvettes of Carlisle.
Per their 2023 C8 Corvette Z06 video:
Turn your sound on and feel the hair on the back of your neck raise. Check back this fall for your first look at the next chapter in one of the most storied legacies to ever touch the track and the street.
About the 2023 Z06 C8 Corvette: The mid-engine marvel continues to carve its legacy with every push of the ignition. Get behind the wheel and experience the balance of design and performance that puts Corvette, and whoever is driving it, out in front. For 2023, the head-turning presence and performance of Corvette is pushed even further with new available design options, FE2 suspension, Driver Mode Selector Visualization and Wireless Phone Projection.
Many C8 Corvette News YouTubers are making videos about the C8 Corvette Z06 being delayed until 2023 because of an article GM Authority wrote.
However, Chevrolet and General Motors hasn’t confirmed this news. It does make sense since Chevy is already having a hard time fulfilling the current base model C8 Stingray orders which started with the UAW strike, then Covid, and now part and chip shortages that are effecting the entire car market.
Here are the videos and leave a comment on what you think about when the C8 Z06 will come out and if you are on a list for one or not.
We are currently on 4 lists for the C8 Z06 and already built out our current C8 Corvette Z51 3LT. Recently, sold our NSX and ordered a Tesla Model S Plaid too. So we are done with building our current C8 Corvette and just going to wait on the C8 Z06 which if it does come in 2023 I bet a lot of people drop off the lists that some of these Chevy dealers like Criswell, MacMulkin, and Whitmoyer already created.
The engine has that high pitch Ferrari 458 sound and is very similar to the C8.R Racing Corvette that has a 5.5L flat plane crank engine. The new DOHC engine makes 500 horsepower and 480 lb-ft of torque in race trim but could easily exceed 600 hp when uncorked.
How the Chevrolet C8 Corvette Z06 will appreciate in value over time
Check out this interesting video by High Octane Only on YouTube to learn his perspective on why he thinks the C8 Z06 will appreciate in value over time.
Per his video description:
These are my top 5 reasons as to why the 2022 c8 corvette Z06 will appreciate over time. You have to take a number of things into consideration and this by no means guarantees that it will appreciate. However, taking a look at historical data on what types of vehicles tend to increase in value, I can say with a moderate degree of certainty that the C8 Z06 corvette will be one of those vehicles. Watch the video to find out why!
Check out this video from HorsePower Obsessed video as he covers C8 Z06 News and C8 ZR1 News with mules and pre production models being spotted and discussed on the C8 Corvette forums and Corvette Blogs.
David Wesel spotted them in Marietta, Ohio and took a ton of great photos and videos of C8 Corvette test mules Z06 and ZR1.
Also, you can see in the video and pictures that it looks like General Motors and the Corvette Engineers at Chevrolet are trying to hide the fact in the center exhaust the two outer tips are smaller and could possibly be the waste gates of a Twin Turbo set up. They think based on the interior and from inside sources its more likely the Z06 won’t come out until 2023 vs. 2022.
Another YouTuber Brink of Speed shares his take on the C8 Z06, C8 ZR1 Prototypes.
New UP-CLOSE VIDEO of the C8 Z06, ZR1 & E-Ray Corvette’s! BEST Z06 REVS yet & MORE!
Per the video: Today, I can’t wait to show you this up-close video of the Z06, ZR1, and E-Ray Corvette’s. This video and pictures were taken by David Wesel, and let me tell you, he did an amazing job. My favorite part though is the loud revs from the Z06. They are the best yet that I’ve heard. Enjoy, ladies and gentlemen.
In this video by Speed Phenom where what he says makes the most sense is that its not a bunch of different models. It’s most likely just the C8 Corvette Z06 they are working on with different variants.

Check out this video from Brink of Speed talking about an article on the Mid Engine Corvette Forum where he shares speculation and news on the C8 Corvette Z06.
In the article and video they think the Bowling Green, KY plant will be testing Wide Body C8 Corvette Z06 production down the line in between the 2021 Stingray C8 Corvettes.
They could be testing the build process of the pre production C8 Corvette Z06 to possibly have one announced by the summer and perhaps display it at Corvettes at Carlisle in August as they did with the 2020 C8 Corvette Stingray Z51 unveil in July of 2019 and perhaps start delivering them by March 2022 to dealers near you.
Watch the video below and share your comments on the C8 Corvette Z06 on when you think it will be announced or produced. Also, do you think it will be a wide body C8 Corvette with a flat plane crank?
We are currently on 4 lists for the C8 Corvette Z06 ranging from being the dealership’s first C8 Corvette Z06 to 40th, and 303rd.. So we are just as excited as you are for the Z06 C8 Corvette.
Check out this video that we found on YouTube of what is thought to be the new 2022 C8 Corvette Z06 in test mule format disguised to hide the body lines and the flat plane crank engine that revs to 9000 RPMS like a Ferrari.
Funny enough they are with a Porsche 911 GT2 RS and a Ferrari 458.
