Details of Every 2023 Z06 Corvette Built So Far

In this video with Rick Corvette Conti he shares the stats on all of the 2023 C8 Corvette Z06 Test Vehicle and pre production builds.

Rick is a car salesman at Couglin Chevrolet of Pataskala in Pataskala Ohio and specializes in selling only corvettes for the dealership.

He gets information directly from General Motors and Chevrolet when it comes to ordering, production, allocations and as the Chevy dealers get the information in the US.

He has mentioned his store was going to have a bidding war for the 2023 C8 Corvette Z06 with his allocations going to the top bidders. Not sure if that has changed or not but that is what he has shared on his social media profile and YouTube when the C8 Corvette Z06 was revealed in October 2021.

In the breakdown he shares there are 96 captured test fleet Corvette Z06s with 54% being coupes and 46% being convertibles. In the video you can learn more about the 96 Test and pre production 2023 C8 Corvette Z06 vehicles and learn how Chevrolet built each car.

The one thing we noticed is the break down seems like a real retail production run and what it really would look like with the options being very similar to what we think people would choose or have chosen with the 2023 C8 Corvette base model stingrays as well.

C8 Corvette E Ray & C8 Corvette Z06 Testing at the Nürburgring

In these videos by Ruud Gloudemans and CarSpyMedia on YouTube you can see the new C8 Corvette E Ray and the New C8 Corvette Z06 testing at the Nürburgring again.

This makes a lot of sense since Chevrolet has released C8 Z06 pricing and is opening ordering July 28th with Chevy dealers but hasn’t released the production schedule, allocations, and the Nurburgring time.

Also, Mark Ruess, the President for General Motors has discussed the recent electric all wheel drive C8 Corvette coming next after the C8 Corvette Z06 on CNBC.

With the C8 Corvette Z06 getting closer to start production in September of 2022 that means they are going to have to provide information on the C8 Z06 and possibly the Electric Corvette Hybrid Assist E Ray soon as well.

People will want to know the performance numbers of both C8 Corvette models and variants to know what they are getting performance wise for each of their respective starting pricing as the C8 Z06 starts at $106,000.

You can see the C8 Corvette Z06 and Eray testing at the Nurburgring at about the 4:45 mark of this video.

2023 Corvette Z06 and Z07 Package Exhaust Sound Compilation

In this video by DPC Cars on YouTube they have compiled the exhaust sounds of the new Mid Engine Chevrolet 2023 C8 Corvette Z06 with the flat plane crank ripping around the Nürburgring.

You can also see the different variants from the C8 Z06 with the Z07 Carbon Fiber aero package to the low wing non Z07 aero package. With the recent release of the C8 Z06 pricing starting at $106,000 more and more people are researching videos and content like this to see what the Nürburgring times are and if it’s going to come in under 7 seconds for this starting price.

Also, with having to add another $20,000 in options for the Z07 package, Carbon Fiber Aero, and Carbon Fiber Wheels many are wondering if the extra cost of those options to have the fastest time the new C8 Z06 puts around a track is worth it or save money by going with an aftermarket carbon fiber aero package set up.

Per their video description about the New C8 Corvette Z06

The 2023 Corvette Z06 debuts an all-new 5.5L DOHC V-8 engine that marks a return to natural aspiration for the track-capable performance model.

Engine responsiveness and trackability, two characteristics of naturally aspirated motors, were the top priorities for providing an engaging driving experience for purists.

As a result, it was determined that a clean sheet naturally aspirated powerplant was needed, with the goal of exceeding the power of any naturally aspirated production V-8 engine ever made. A lightweight, flat-plane crank design enables the engine to rev to the high rpms needed to create significant power.

More than horsepower, the new LT6 is designed to complement all aspects of the Z06’s track-focused performance experience. From its 8,600-rpm redline and full racing-style dry-sump oiling system to meticulously tuned induction and exhaust systems, this engine exudes an entirely new and emotional character.

The key to the LT6’s performance capability is a lightweight, low-inertia rotating assembly rooted in an all-new flat-plane crankshaft that, along with a comparatively short stroke (the distance each piston/connecting rod assembly travels with each rotation of the crankshaft), allows the engine to rev to its maximum range.

A version of the LT6 has powered the C8.R race cars since 2019, and the rigors of endurance road racing helped engineers refine the engine’s performance and durability.

Z07 Performance Package additional features include:

Carbon fiber aero package with larger front splitter, front-corner dive planes, a rear wing and underbody strakes that enhance downforce

Unique FE7 suspension with specific Magnetic Ride Control 4.0 calibrations Michelin Sport Cup 2 R ZP tires developed specifically for the Z06 Available carbon fiber wheels that deliver a 41-pound (18.6 kg) reduction in unsprung mass Brembo® carbon ceramic brake system featuring larger, 15.7-inch-diameter (398 mm) front rotors and 15.4-inch-diameter (391 mm) rear rotors

When equipped with the Z07 performance package in the track prepared configuration on a 300-foot diameter circle, the car is capable of 1.22 g of road-hugging grip. The Z06 is based on the same robust architecture as the Stingray — a rigid structure that enabled engineers to fine-tune the car’s chassis and suspension components with exceptional precision.

The C8 Z06 is so stiff that the track-capable Z06 is offered in a hardtop convertible model, and there is no variance in the suspension calibrations between it and the coupe.

C8 Z06 Pricing REVEALED!

In these videos from YouTubers Speed Phenom, Rick Corvette Conti (who works at a top Chevy dealer), and Brink of Speed you finally get to see the C8 Corvette Z06 Pricing starting at $106,395 for the Coupe and $113,895 for the Convertible variant.

For the C8 Z06 1LZ Coupe they are $106,395 and $113,895 for the Convertible

For the C8 Z06 2LZ Coupe its $115,595 and $122,595 Convertible

For the C8 Z06 3LZ Coupe it’s $120,245 and $127,245 Convertible.

Also, the Z07 Performance package is an $8,995 add on, to add the Carbon Fiber Aero package its $10,495 for the visible carbon fiber or $8,495 for the Carbon Flash Painted C8 Z06

Finally the Carbon Fiber Wheels only available with the Z07 package with 41 pound weight reduction are going to cost $11,995 for the visible carbon fiber and $9,995 for the Carbon Flash painted carbon fiber wheels.

So if you were to get a C8 Corvette Z06 3LZ Convertible with the Z07 Visible carbon fiber package, with the carbon fiber wheels in visible carbon fiber would put you at $158,730 not including other options besides the top C8 Z06 packages. C8 Corvette Z06 Ordering will start on July 28th, 2022.

Do you think the Z07 package worth it since you will have to pay another $8k-$10k for the Carbon Fiber Aero Package or would you rather go with an aftermarket C8 Corvette Carbon Fiber body kit from a company like Racing Sport Concepts?

You will notice a lot of people were wrong and about $10k-15k off with their guesses. This C8 Corvette Z06 pricing being a lot higher than expected will really shorten lists at Ciocca Corvette and other Chevy Dealers or will it?

THIS IS MY OFFICIAL C8 Z06 BUILD GOING INTO THE ORDER BANKS!

ANNOUNCED~ 2023 C8 Z06 PRICING ~ CONFIRMED!!!

Here is a video from Rick Corvette Conti  at Coughlin Chevrolet of Pataskala  one of the Top 10 Corvette Dealers in the United States. He has confirmed this C8 Corvette Z06 pricing is official and production will start in September 2022 as Corvette has said all along “late summer”

GM JUST Officially RELEASED the 2023 C8 Z06 Corvette Price!

PRICING IS HERE! Full 2023 Corvette Z06 Price List Announced *NOT CHEAP!*

As the C8 Corvette Z06 pricing has officially been released more and more YouTubers are sharing their opinion of the pricing of the C8 Z06 which is a lot higher than was expected before dealer over MSRP mark ups.

In this video, Supercar Ranch on YouTube mentions Matt Beaver from Whitmoyer Chevrolet leaked the pricing on his Instagram page.

The New Z06 is WAY More Expensive than I thought! All Pricing Revealed

I give you an in depth look at the pricing on the 2023 C8 Z06 to include prices on all options. This car turned out to be much more expensive than I original thought. What do you think about the new Z06? Do you think it will be worth the price?

In this video by Fred’s Full Throttle he covers what he thinks about the new C8 Corvette Z06 pricing since he is on MacMulkin’s C8 Z06 list and been making videos about the C8 Z06 since joining that list. You can sense a bit of hesitation but he does seem like he will be going with a build just having to cut back now more than expected to afford the C8 Z06.

He sounds a like a lot of the people we have been seeing in Facebook groups, forums, and in our comments section and on our IG @C8CorvetteBlog where they were expecting it to follow the C7 Z06 pricing model from the base model and be only 25k more or so.

C8 Corvette Z06 to PRODUCTION Set to Begin in 7 weeks?

In this video by Brink of Speed and their “Octane Hour” with Neighbor Mark and Darren they discuss the latest news on the C8 Corvette Z06 and whether or not the C8 Z06 production will start in the next 7 weeks.

Interestingly enough that aligns with the Corvettes at Carlisle and their 40th anniversary corvette show. This in our opinion would be a great event to announce everything people have been waiting for including C8 Corvette Z06 pricing, ordering, production and official Nürburgring times.

These four questions (c8 corvette price, ordering, production and Nürburgring times) have been on everyone’s minds since the C8 Corvette Z06 reveal and unveil in October 2021.

Corvette and Chevrolet have continued to say “late summer” which again aligns with announcing all this information at Corvettes at Carlisle with the last day of summer being September 21st, 2022.

Check out their video and recorded live stream they have every Tuesday to see what they think an other C8 Corvette related content.

Welcome back everyone to LIVE Octane Hour, with Neighbor Mark and Darren. Today we will discuss whether the Z06 will truly start being produced in just 7 short weeks, and break all of what that means to you right now in the next 7 days.

Difference Between 1LZ, 2LZ and the 3LZ on the C8 Corvette Z06

In this video, Fred’s Full Throttle covers the differences between the 1LZ, 2LZ, and 3LZ C8 Corvette Z06 package options.

Also, we included some of his recent videos comparing the C8 Corvette Z06 to a McLaren 720s and a Ford GT. He covered the C8 Z06 being benchmarked against the Porsche GT2 RS as well.

Fred’s Full throttle on YouTube has been doing deep dives into the new C8 Corvette Z06 including covering the carbon fiber Z07 package to the carbon fiber wheels on the new Corvette C8 Z06.

He is a great source of information on the C8 Corvette Z06 and usually releases one video a week on his YouTube Channel.

Rick Corvette Conti Shares the Latest on the 2023 C8 Corvette Z06

In this video Rick Corvette Conti gets information from one of his Corvette customers that there was a retail sellable VIN on a C8 Corvette Z06 in Bowling Green, Kentucky at the Corvette Museum.

As he mentions being on the inside as a Corvette Salesman at a Chevrolet Dealership he knows more about it and has more intel but can’t provide definitive dates.

He did say the C8 Corvette Z06 pricing and ordering is coming very soon and things are moving forward. Chevrolet and the Corvette media team has been saying “late summer” all along.

So for all the rumors, speculation, about something being wrong with the Corvette Z06 C8 it’s more than likely if there are any delays past late summer it’s more likely to do the supply chain issues the entire country and every car manufacturer is facing since China controls a lot of the chip flow.

Also, he discussed how the Green C8 Corvette Z06 NFT was a huge flop with the timing of crypto being down big from the $60k level in bitcoin (now under $18k when writing this) and Ethereum peaking close to $5k and now at almost $1k .

If this was done again with an actual tangible Green Corvette C8 Z06 you can actually see at a Barrett Jackson auction for charity, Rick Hendrick would own it in a second and have 3 “firsts” C8 Corvette Z06s coming to him. He won the bid on the first Coupe and Convertible C8 Corvette Z06s this year at Barrett Jackson as well.

NO!!! YOU CANNOT YET, ORDER A C8 Z06 CORVETTE…

In this video you can see Rick Corvette Conti address some of the other clickbait YouTubers that talk about the C8 Corvette Z06 with nothing but speculation and guesses.

As you can see he is frustrated with the content people are putting out on YouTube that is making his life as a Corvette salesmen harder having to field calls when people on YouTube try to “confirm” unconfirmed information about the C8 Z06.

Be careful who you get your information from about the C8 Corvette online.

2023 C8 Corvette Z06 September Delivery CONFIRMED?? (VIDEO)

In this video by Supercar Ranch he has a video of visually seeing the terms and conditions of the Green Corvette Z06 C8 NFT project stating “The current anticipated delivery timeframe of the Vehicle is September 2022, but is subject to change at the sole discretion of GM”

Check it out in this Video Short he made 30 minutes before we posted this on June 24th, at 2:45PM (PDT) Pacific Standard Time

2023 Corvette C8 Z06 deliveries will start in September 2022! Confirmed???

However when we went to the Chevrolet.com website where he pulled this from you can see in the video above it was there and it is now gone.

In that same section he refers to in his video we see this “You acknowledge and agree that the Vehicle is not currently in existence, and will not be built, fulfilled, or delivered until after the completion of the Auction.”

Also, we searched the page by the word “Delivery” or “September” and its indeed removed from the Chevrolet.com website and we don’t see anything on their media press release about that either. The word “September” doesn’t even have one mention on the entire page now.

c8 z06 NFT

It’s pretty crazy if they removed it that fast after his video unless someone already mentioned internally at Chevrolet they listed the C8 Z06 September delivery and had that removed.

It does align with their “late summer” communication which is the only thing that Chevrolet and the Corvette brand team has told anyone. And we are sure whoever is going to be the winner of this NFT project is going to want to know those details.

Our guess is end of August would mark the production and maybe they announce the production date and pricing for the C8 Corvette Z06 at Corvettes of Carlisle will align perfectly with “late summer” as they have said all along.

Late summer would be mid September when Summer officially ends. Also, with them going live with this NFT project and a lot more C8 Corvette Z06s being spotted in Public including a Black Z06, Rapid Blue Z06, and Hypersonic Grey C8 Z06 it has to be getting close to releasing C8 Z06 pricing, ordering and production information.

More about the Green Chevrolet Corvette Z06 NFT project

Few drivers will own a Corvette Z06, but only one will have the opportunity to not only get one in Minted Green, but to “Own the Color.” Chevrolet is offering drivers an opportunity to bid on a 1-of-1 piece of NFT artwork created by xsullo, along with a first—and only—of its kind 2023 Corvette Z06 in Minted Green. Bidding is open from June 20-25, so head over to SuperRare

C8 Corvette Z06 vs. C6 Corvette Z06: What’s the difference?

The Chevrolet Corvette Z06 is a special model that has been produced off and on since 1963. The purpose of the Z06 is to showcase the power and performance of the Corvette line while producing a truly track-ready sports car.

Two recent editions of the Z06 platform have truly elevated the status of the Corvette as a world-class performance machine that could double as a racer on weekends. Those are the C6 Z06 and upcoming C8 Z06.

While they share the same Z06 lineage, each is very different from the other and offers owners some very significant advantages. Let’s take a closer look at these two truly great Corvette models.

C6 Z06 Elevates Traditional Corvette Performance

Chevrolet produced the C6 Z06 from 2006 through 2013 and gave it the most powerful small-block V8 Chevy Corvette engine built up to that time. Only the eventual Corvette ZR1 would prove to be more powerful, but it was not available at the time.

The 7.0-liter LS7 Chevrolet engine delivered up to 505 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque. An all-aluminum frame shaves 136 pounds from the Corvette’s traditional steel frame. That helps the C6 to weigh a svelte 3,130 pounds while giving it a very enviable power-to-weight ratio of about 6.2 pounds per single horsepower.

The C6 has 18-inch front wheels and 19-inch rear wheels with six-piston brake calipers in front and four-piston calipers in back. A rigid fixed roof, wider fenders in the front and rear, a front splitter, and a rear spoiler all helped to improve the performance and handling. So did specially designed stabilizer bars, shocks, and spring rates.

The C6 Z06 Corvette has a top speed of 198 mph and can go from 0-60 mph in 3 seconds. Its 10.98 quarter-mile times at 123 mph made the C6 Z06 Vette the quickest of its kind during its production run. The Chevy Corvette engine is a truly phenomenal motor that also is capable of surprisingly good fuel economy at up to 30 mpg.

C8 Z06 Redefines the Corvette Platform

Chevrolet started building the next generation of the Z06 in the summer of 2022 and intends to make it available for sale as a 2023 model. The mid-engine Vette has proven to be very popular, and the C8 could be the costliest and fastest Vette ever built. Moving the Chevy Corvette engine behind the passenger cabin gives it better balance and handling at higher rates of speed.

The C8 has a 5.5-liter V8 Chevrolet engine with a flat-plane crank and produces up to 670 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. It revs to 8,600 rpm and uses a dual-clutch eight-speed transmission to send the power to the rear-drive wheels.

The C8 will have 20-inch aluminum wheels in front and a pair of 21-inch aluminum wheels in the rear. Six-piston brake calipers in front and four-piston calipers in the rear help to keep the power under control.

An optional Z07 performance package will make the C8 even more ready for racing duties. Performance numbers are not available, but the horsepower significantly surpasses that of the C6 along with a bit more torque.

Choose Your Preferred Vette

The most significant differences between the C6 and C8 Z06 Corvettes are engine location and transmission. The C6 has the traditional front-mounted Chevy engine while the C8 is a mid-engine unit. You sit behind the engine in the C6 and in front of it in the C8.

The C6 also provided a six-speed manual transmission with an optional six-speed automatic also available. The mid-engine configuration on the C8 forces owners to live with an automatic transmission that takes up less space than a manual. The brawny Chevy Corvette engine will make you forget whether you are driving a manual or automatic.

There is no way to go wrong with either the C6 or the C8 Z06 Corvettes. The C6 is a bit more affordable, but money likely will not be a barrier to anyone who is considering either model.

If you like a manual transmission and a front-engine configuration, the C6 is the obvious choice. If you prefer a mid-engine configuration with the potential to surpass the performance of the C6, then the C8 Z06 is the choice you should make.
