The C8 Corvette Z06 has started to make it’s rounds at the top Chevy dealers in the country that sell corvettes. This past weekend a Torch Red C8 Z06 and an Accelerate Yellow C8 Z06 with the Z07 package made their appearances at Ciocca Corvette in Atlantic City and MacMulkin Chevrolet in Nashua, NH.

We recently had the chance to see 3 different C8 Z06 at Barrett Jackson since they are also making their way to automotive events and shows as well. However, YouTube has many videos we have below of each of these dealer tour C8 Corvette Z06s.

In these videos from Zipity’s Garage on YouTube he gives a very thorough review of the Ciocca Corvette Dealer Tour. Also, a few other YouTubers were able to capture the new C8 Z06 Corvettes at each dealer as well.

There will be more dealer tours and automotive events like the Washington DC Auto Show, Chicago Auto Show, Barrett Jackson that just happened and the Cleveland auto show where the C8 Z06 was displayed or will be displayed.

In this video Cars and Culture with Jason Stein on YouTube asks the President of General Motors, Mar Reuss about the new C8 Corvette Z06.

He talks about the flat plane crank engine and how the new center exhaust is built like a piece of artwork. He also hints out more platform to ground with this new mid engine Corvette platform that gives them more room to work with vs the front engine generation Corvettes like the C7.

Our guess is they are going to go all wheel drive with electric motors next similar to a hybrid assist set up like an Acura NSX.

In this video Speed Phenom on YouTube shares his behind the scenes footage from Barrett Jackson Scottsdale 2022 where there were multiple C8 Corvette Z06s on display including the first production order selling for 3.6 Million for charity.

In this video you will see the silver flare, amplify orange, and accelerate yellow C8 Z06 as well as some other C8 Corvettes that were sold at auction.

We recently covered his video of the C8.R Edition C8 Corvette selling for 300,000 plus the $30k buying fee which is 10% of the vehicles bought at Barrett Jackson.

We found a C8.R Edition Corvette on Cars.com for 125k so someone definitely overpaid or was having a good time blowing money with friends at Barrett Jackson not really caring about getting a deal on one.

In this video by Brink of Speed on YouTube he shares the 4 reasons the UAW is threating General Motors with a strike AGAIN.

1. They want GM to commit to UAW members for contracted jobs (striping of cars, 3D printing ect..)
2. They want GM to commit to using Local 2164 for the Performance Build Center.
3. They want a higher pay rate for specific job classifications in the plant that require more skills to perform the job.
4. They want GM to promise them that they can work on all future Corvettes including any future electric corvettes.

So far they are negotiating the local contract which seems like a short term fix until at least the September 2023 time frame.

It sounds like the UAW Local 2164 is worried about the electric car transition and being able to be paid more for special skills for example the C8 Corvette Z06 that has a hand built engine.

This is interesting because we have spoke with a local service advisor at a Chevrolet dealership and he brought up a good point a year or so ago when he even purchased his first Tesla. He mentioned if cars go electric even the Service centers of franchise dealers are going to look a lot different and need new skills since in electric cars the make up of the cars are a lot different and you aren’t worrying about transmissions or other issues internal combustible engines have to worry about.

Sounds like the UAQ Local 2164 is getting worried about being able to make the electric cars that General Motors and Chevrolet are on a full blitz to become all electric as most of the Automotive manufactures in the industry.

The 70th Anniversary Special Edition cars were leaked with a new Carbon Flash Metallic and Pearl White Metallic Paint option to go along with special interior seats, edge red brakes and seat belts and the 70th Anniversary Special Edition Sticker Package (similar to how the C8.R Edition was just a base Stingray C8 Corvette Z51 with stickers)

C8 Z06 production starting EARLY!

In this video by Speed Phenom on YouTube he covers the 2023 C8 Corvette Z06 dealer tours coming to Chevy dealers across the US and the latest pricing information on the C8 Z06.

As he drives his C8.R edition C8 Corvette he is selling to get a C8 Z06 he talks about the buzz and all the pricing guesses from the C8 Corvette blogs like ours, forums and C8 Corvette Facebook Groups.

The C8 Corvette Z06 pricing has been guessed at about $87995 to $90k starting out for the base model non Z07 package C8 Z06.

He’s thinking the official C8 Corvette Z06 pricing will be announced this month and the latest by April to coincide with the dealer tours.

We agree that the pricing should be by April 28th-30th the latest since that is when the National Corvette Museum has the 2022 Michelin NCM Bash in Bowling Green, Kentucky.

Check out this video by DetroitMuscle313 on YouTube where he spots an Elkhart Lake Blue C8 Corvette Z06 out on the road.

Right away his first impression is a good one and he mentions how big the tires are since the new C8 Z06 come with Michelin 345/25ZR/21 rear tires.

He also mentions how the C8 Z06 looks a lot more exotic like other mid engine supercars and now with the flat plane crank it has the high revving sounds as well. In this video you will see this is the base model C8 Corvette Z06 since it doesn’t have the higher bird like wing in the rear as the spoiler although it does look like the side skirts are carbon fiber. 

Chevrolet or the Corvette Engineers have been testing these New C8 Corvette Z06s out on the roads in public without any camo a lot more recently we just posted one spotted in the Hypersonic Gray color as well.
