The BEST C8 Body Kit (WITHOUT Cutting Up Your C8 Corvette)

We noticed there are a lot of people searching online every month for a C8 Body kit and it was interesting to see because it’s a very niche segment of the automotive aftermarket that looks to modify their car with a body kit in general let alone a C8 Corvette Body kit.

Another reason we thought this would be a great topic to cover is our site founder of C8CorvetteBlog.com who has had a C8 Corvette since March of 2020 and has modified it many times have thought about the C8 Corvette Body Kits on the market and wasn’t a fan of going extreme with cutting the C8 Corvette up (not as  bad as Shade Tree at least lol) video below…

We recently covered his video of the C8.R Edition C8 Corvette selling for 300,000 plus the $30k buying fee which is 10% of the vehicles bought at Barrett Jackson.

We found a C8.R Edition Corvette on Cars.com for 125k so someone definitely overpaid or was having a good time blowing money with friends at Barrett Jackson not really caring about getting a deal on one.

C8R Corvette Edition Sells for $300k at Barrett Jackson (VIDEO)

In this video by Speed Phenom on YouTube he films a C8R Edition C8 Corvette sell for $300k plus the 10% buying fee of $30k.

This is insane since there are literally C8R Edition C8 Corvettes that are on Cars.com right now for $125k. However, at Barrett Jackson many cars get inflated prices with people living in the moment of the auction vs looking for a deal.

As you will see in this video even just a base model 1LT sold for $155k and a C8 Corvette with Forgiato wheels sold for 170k. There was a Cunningham edition C8 Corvette which looked like the C8 that was given away at Corvettes at Carlisle that sold for $170k too.

So what do you think will these prices last an will now the next Barrett Jackson auction be flooded with more C8 Corvettes at their next event in Palm Springs Florida on April 7th-9th?

Also, one of the first C8 Z06 production slots was sold for charity for Operation Homefront to Rick Hendrick for 3.6 million dollars. He bought the first 2020 C8 Corvette for charity for $3 million dollars as well and is known to by the first VIN Chevrolet Corvettes.

4 REASONS the 2023 C8 Z06 Corvette could be DELAYED yet again!

In this video by Brink of Speed on YouTube he shares the 4 reasons the UAW is threating General Motors with a strike AGAIN.

  1. They want GM to commit to UAW members for contracted jobs (striping of cars, 3D printing ect..)
  2. They want GM to commit to using Local 2164 for the Performance Build Center.
  3. They want a higher pay rate for specific job classifications in the plant that require more skills to perform the job.
  4. They want GM to promise them that they can work on all future Corvettes including any future electric corvettes.

So far they are negotiating the local contract which seems like a short term fix until at least the September 2023 time frame.

It sounds like the UAW Local 2164 is worried about the electric car transition and being able to be paid more for special skills for example the C8 Corvette Z06 that has a hand built engine.

This is interesting because we have spoke with a local service advisor at a Chevrolet dealership and he brought up a good point a year or so ago when he even purchased his first Tesla. He mentioned if cars go electric even the Service centers of franchise dealers are going to look a lot different and need new skills since in electric cars the make up of the cars are a lot different and you aren’t worrying about transmissions or other issues internal combustible engines have to worry about.

Sounds like the UAQ Local 2164 is getting worried about being able to make the electric cars that General Motors and Chevrolet are on a full blitz to become all electric as most of the Automotive manufactures in the industry.

MacMulkin C8 Z06 Dealer Tour Date (BREAKING NEWS)

In this video by Fred’s Full Throttle a YouTuber that is covering the C8 Corvette Z06 latest news he shares MacMulkin’s C8 Z06 Dealer Tour dates they provided him as he is in the 1400s on their C8 Z06 reservation list.

Also, he covers the UAW strike with Local 2164, Ciocca Corvette’s Reservation tracker, GM’s letter to Dealerships about C8 Z06 markups and more.

Just because GM sent the letter doesn’t mean the Chevrolet Dealership franchises will listen. Funny enough the top to Chevy Dealers for selling C8 Corvettes that have the biggest lists are Ciocca Corvette (formerly Kerbeck Chevrolet) MacMulkin Chevrolet.

MacMulkin’s C8 Z06 Dealership C8 Z06 tour dates are Saturday, February 19th 2022. Be careful though there are no specifics on the event yet. This is the same weekend Ciocca Corvette announced they are going to have the C8 Corvette Z06 dealer tour they posted on Instagram.

In this video by Brink of Speed you can see him cover the new 2023 C8 Z06 Corvette Visualizer that is now live with 70th Anniversary Special Edition Options.

The 70th Anniversary Special Edition cars were leaked with a new Carbon Flash Metallic and Pearl White Metallic Paint option to go along with special interior seats, edge red brakes and seat belts and the 70th Anniversary Special Edition Sticker Package (similar to how the C8.R Edition was just a base Stingray C8 Corvette Z51 with stickers)

Hot NEW Color Shifting Candy Nardo Grey Wrap on a C8 Corvette

In this video by Paradox the Wrapper he wraps his wife’s C8 Corvette Convertible in a new Shifting Candy Nardo Grey Wrap.

He is a professional wrapper and has wrapped many cars including a color fade on a C7 Corvette but his goal was to wrap this C8 Corvette in the new Shifting Candy Nardo Grey Wrap without taking the car apart.

Normally car wrap shops will remove mirrors, bumpers, ect.. However, he is a professional car wrapper vs a “dismantler”.

Less Than 16% of People Dropped off Ciocca Corvette C8 Z06 5k+ List!!

In this video Records Rebuilds on YouTube who gave the initial helpful information to get on the number C8 Corvette Car Dealer in the country Ciocca Corvette (Formerly Kerbeck) share more insights on the C8 Z06 waiting list.

He starts off sharing information about the recent possible 2nd UAW strike at the Bowling Green KY corvette plant we just posted about recently. And then he shares plotted data about the Ciocca Corvette list and how you can look up your spot in line.

If you are 500 or lower you are going to be in the same spot since not one person on Ciocca Corvette’s C8 Corvette List dropped off.

Here is a webpage of their website to learn where you are on their list with your email that they will be updating at least once per month possibly the 1st and 15th of every month.

C8 Corvette Liberty Walk Wide Body Build Series

In this video you will see Rear Wheel Drive catch everyone up on what he’s been up to and why he hasn’t been posting on YouTube. His C8 Corvette was in an accident but finally he has started to receive the Liberty Walk Wide Body kit.

He also has a C5 Z06 that just had the transmission replaced and takes a visit over to the body shop to see he Liberty Walk Wide Body Kit.

The front bumper was a little damaged from the delivery and he has Rohana Wheels that were suppose to black but came gloss brushed with a polished lip.  Check out more of the Liberty Walk C8 Corvette Build Series below.

General Motors Bowling Green Assembly Plant Facing Another UAW Strike?

In this video from Brink of Speed on YouTube he discusses C8 Forum chatter that is talking about another UAW strike like the one that happened in 2019.

What’s next for perhaps the region’s best-known employer?

Potential new labor problems, this time arising not from the national United Auto Workers union but from a local contract involving working conditions and perks that members of UAW Local 2164 believe aren’t being addressed.

The Chevrolet Corvette plant workers who make up Local 2164 sent an unmistakable message about the local contract last week, when 98% of the plant’s production workers and 97% of its skilled trades workers voted to reject an offer from plant management that didn’t include many of the demands being made by union leadership.

“We pretty much knew what the outcome would be,” said Jason Watson, shop chairman for Local 2164. “It’s disappointing that the company doesn’t take into consideration what the hourly workers are asking for in improvements.”

 

In 2019, the UAW strike cost GM 4 billion dollars an this was another reason their was a delay and lower C8 Corvette production numbers since this hit before Covid did in March of 2020.
