In this video by Late Model Racecraft they share their first experience and first Procharger Supercharger C8 Corvette build. They said its still in research and development as this kit has taken years to perfect and there are now multiple versions of the Procharger Supercharger.
The car was sold to Lawrence Motorsport in Scottsdale, AZ and it looks like the new owner brought it to Late Model Racecraft for the new C8 Corvette Procharger Supercharger kit.
We posted it on our Instagram C8CorvetteBlog which is another reason we know so much about each C8 Corvette that is modified along with our blog dedicated to the Corvette C8 platform.
Late Model Racecraft also created an over the engine mounted Twin Turbo system for StreetSpeed717 back in 2020 when he received his first C8 Corvette.
ProCharger C8 Corvette built by Late Model Racecraft
A ProCharger C8 Corvette is now a real option for you performance guys! You can now add 140-230+ more horsepower to an otherwise stock LT2 C8 Corvette. Sit back and watch Steven take this for a few spirited pulls and talk about the current set-up and what’s to come with Procharger Superchargers and tuning the locked ecu.
In this video you can see YouTuber Speed Phenom take the first C8 Corvette Z06 Corvette Museum delivery. We have been seeing a lot of the C8 Corvette Z06s delivered to Ciocca Corvette and Hendricks but this is the first video we have seen of a Corvette Museum delivery of the C8 Corvette Z06.
Flying from San Diego to Bowling Green Kentucky to pick up my new C8 Corvette after the plant shutdown! Many dealers across the country are being forced to close, and the National Corvette Museum has also been forced to do the same… However, GM is still able to deliver handful of C8s across the street from the plant despite the roadblocks. The experience was AMAZING! I highly recommend that you opt for this experience… I am so impressed with this car. This is a without a doubt a Super Car!
As you can see in the video the Corvette Museum representative Stacy goes through every feature and setting you can set with your C8 Corvette or C8 Corvette Z06 to get you familiar with the car.
Speed Phenom’s C8 Corvette Z06 spec’d to $169,000 plus and with sales tax its going to be over $185,000. Below is Part 1 and Part 2 of his YouTube series of buying and taking delivery of his Corvette Z06 at the Corvette Museum starting with his dealer Burbank Chevrolet in California.
FIRST TO TAKE DELIVERY OF A BRAND NEW 2023 C8 CORVETTE Z06! | PART 1
22 YEAR OLD FLIES TO CORVETTE ASSEMBLY PLANT TO TAKE DELIVERY OF NEW C8 Z06!
This morning on Instagram, Facebook and social media Corvette announced that the first C8 Corvette Z06s have been made and are about to hit the streets.
Also, Chevrolet has told dealers they will be starting to provide allocations in November vs. the January 2023 start date of ordering again after they gave out the first 300+ allocations in August of 2022.
There has been some confusion because in the notice to dealers they use the verbiage “shipments” vs. allocations but many dealers have confirmed that’s what they mean when they say that.
Also, in this video by Records Rebuilds who is one of the YouTubers that have had quality, honest, information he shares more C8 Corvette Z06 updates and his update with Ciocca Corvette and his concern with the lower rated Torque.
He mentioned how Ciocca Corvette received allocations separate from the “list” and we heard they received 32 allocations in August when GM first gave out the 300+ allocations or so to Chevy Dealers. They have 18 cars at 3000 status and have 10 cars at 3100 status. They have 4 cars at 3300 which means the C8 Z06 is scheduled for production 3 cars at 3400 status and they are pulling parts to build the C8 Z06. They have 7 cars at 3800 status and those cars are built already and waiting quality control from Chevrolet.
For some reason he mentions this doesn’t effect the list of 5,000 plus people that have given Ciocca Corvette $5,000 deposits since these were considered some type of “special” allocation vs all the people waiting on their list.
C8 Z06 Corvette and Ciocca Update: Lets talk lap times.
GAME-CHANGING C8 Z06 Update! More Allocations Coming! First Build Sheet and Leaked LT7
C8 Z06 Corvette news has been scarce but today we get hit with multiple major updates. This is some of the best Z06 information released so far. Check out todays update covering all the leaked and official information.
In this video above it shows the LT7 is possibly coming as well that is rumored to possibly be part of the new Hybrid Electric C8 Corvette but it might be for the C8 ZR1 or “Zora”
GM JUST gave dealers MORE Z06 ALLOCATIONS for this YEAR & MORE!
Huge Allocation news about the C8 Z06!
As you will see here in this video as well Trevor Thompkins the Car, Performance and Motorsports Communications (General Motors PR guy) has said that 2023 Corvette Z06 orders will resume in November 2022 or this month.
They show as they did last year many Rocket Bunny Widebody Kits, StreetHunter Design Body kits, Liberty Walk Body kits for the Corvette C8 and lastly one of our C8 Corvette customization favorites from Label Motorsports limited edition of only 5 design and installations they provide with over 35 forged carbon fiber parts.
Label Motorsports has stayed firm to their business model of building 5 Vouno limited edition C8 Corvettes. They said it starts around $165,000 and includes all of their design options, forged carbon fiber, wheel choices ect…
They are still not open to offering parts on a one off basis or on a site where a C8 Corvette owner can piece out what they want like a ACS Composite as an example who also discusses their carbon fiber parts in this video.
Although the SEMA 2022 show isn’t as good as the 2021 Show for the C8 Corvette which has now been out since 2020, we are guessing next year will be the best showing yet with customized C8 Corvette Z06 cars showing up.
Which C8 Corvette from SEMA 2022 is your favorite from the video below? Leave a comment on this post, share it, and link to it on your social profiles.
They offer this 700 horsepower twin turbo set up with a 2 year 24,000 mile warranty. This Twin Turbo set up is with a stock bottom end and fuel system and uses no methanol or port injection.
They have it right around 650 horsepower to the wheel at 6.5 PSI.
We took our C8 down to Atco Dragway recently for some testing of our ECS 700 HP Twin Turbo Package. We drove down to the track which is about 1 hour from our shop and clicked off several mid 10 second passes with a best of 10.22 @ 131 with a 800 ft DA and in 70* ambient temps. That is on a stock bottom end AND stock fuel system no methanol or port injection making right around 650whp at 6.5 psi. That is faster than a factory C8 Z06!!! The ECS C8 700HP Package is available for installation now and comes with a 2 yr 24,000 mile supplemental warranty. Visit our website for more info or give us a call today!
If you are interested in this Twin Turbo set up for your C8 Corvette you can visit EastCoastSupercharging.com and tell them C8CorvetteBlog.com sent you!
The C8 Corvette Z06 gives a few revs and is a non Z07 package car so it doesn’t have the carbon fiber aero package or Z07 style distinct wing. The arctic white C8 Corvette stingray has mods including after market wheels and is a convertible with a high wing spoiler.
This gives you a good side by side visual comparison of the Corvette C8 colors and the difference of the width and aero of each car.
Which one do you like better and why? Leave a comment below on our C8 Corvette Blog.
CORVETTE C8 Z06 VS C8 STINGRAY
Here’s a Bonus video of the C8 Corvette Z06 cruising through a neighborhood at night at low RPMs.
In this video by Nu Horizon C8 on YouTube he shows how to connect a radar detector to your rear view mirror for power so you don’t have to have a long power cord getting in the way.
In this application it allows the radar detector to be hardwired without any soldering wires and hanging cords from the radar detector. In the video he provides a step by step tutorial on how to install the radar detector and shows how you will need this wiring harness and a screwdriver similar to this to make the install easy like he did.
Before you even get started with this you need to decide on a well trusted and tested radar detector for your Corvette C8 to help give you a fair warning of a speed trap or police using radar around you.
As for radar detectors we recommend these two as they have proven testing, have high reviews and give you the best results for picking up laser. Even if the cops are shooting from miles away they can save you money on a speeding ticket or having to get a criminal defense attorney if it’s a criminal speeding ticket.
Here you will see why the Uniden R7 and the Escort Max360 are the two best radar detectors or the Corvette C8 and any car for that matter. They have the best long range laser and Ka band warnings to prevent you from getting a speeding ticket from the police.
This isn’t the first time a YouTuber has documented a C8 Corvette transmission problem we actually have seen four other YouTubers with C8 Corvette Transmission problems as well. Rear Wheel Drive, Dad Bod SZN 610, Gabe Rolf Cars, and JakesVette on YouTube have all documented C8 Corvette Transmission issues and problems that we have posted on C8 Corvette Blog. Most were fixed with a new transmission from Tremec and Chevrolet under warranty and just a couple had the TCM reset that helped fix it.
At first Brink of Speed takes his C8 Corvette to Classic Chevrolet in Texas and they changed the transmission valve body and they did a reset and relearn on the transmission TCM and it still didn’t work. His dual clutch wasn’t applying shifts correctly.
He mentions GM is allowing techs to go into the transmissions and see if any of the internal parts can be replaced before giving C8 Corvette owners a brand new Tremec Dual Clutch transmission. So they still might not replace it until they let the mechanics and Chevy technicians check a few more things including the dual clutch itself on the Corvette C8.
Will GM REPLACE my C8 Corvette TRANSMISSION or TRY another SOLUTION?
Ladies and gentlemen, today I take you along with me to see if my C8 will need a new transmission or not. The mechanic that worked on my car has some news for me.
TR-9090 DCT Tremec 8 Speed Dual Clutch Transmission for the C8 Corvette
Here is more information from Tremec about the DCT Transmission they built for General Motors and Chevrolet for the New C8 Corvette.
Designed as the sole transmission for the 2020 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray
Featuring dual clutches that engage and release in perfect computer-controlled synchronization, the TR-9080 DCT can transition from gear to gear in less than 100 milliseconds without interrupting torque, allowing for comfortable and efficient touring and no-compromise performance shifts.
Designed for the new 2020 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, the 8-speed dual clutch transmission provides extreme performance with either a fixed-bias mechanical limited slip differential (mLSD) or an electro-hydraulically controlled limited slip differential (eLSD) with active selection of the locking ratio.
Paddle shifters allow enthusiast’s to choose the preferred gear. The performance shift algorithms are so driver-focused they can sense when you’re doing spirited driving and will hold lower gears longer for more throttle response.
TREMEC’s latest advancements in wet clutch technology offers active thermal management, robust TREMEC-proprietary friction plates, and versatility in a wide range of engine applications.
A Shift of a Different Kind
The DCT is controlled with a high-performance, 32-bit transmission control unit. All systems – including hardware to control systems and software – were internally developed for maximum performance without compromise.
The new 2020 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray engine has a torque curve optimized to take advantage of the bespoke DCT’s power transfer. The wide ratio transmission provides a low 1st gear ratio for exciting launch acceleration, and a tall 8th gear creates a quiet and comfortable highway cruising experience.
Ratio steps 2-7 are perfectly matched to make use of the engine’s strong and broad torque curve for optimal performance on or off the track.
Features at a Glance:
Continuous torque over a wide ratio range allowing high performance driving and efficient highway driving
Over-torque shifting with torque boost for performance launch
Offered with mechanical or electronic limited slip differentials
Integrated mechatronics
Highly efficient concentric wet dual-clutch
TREMEC proprietary paper-based friction materials for control and thermal capacity
Optimized oil management system for extreme performance in racetrack gravitational force (g-force) conditions
ISO 26262 and ASIL-D safety standards compliant
Fast and accurate low-leak solenoids
Responsive and durable electro-hydraulic actuation system
Sophisticated transmission control unit and control software

Here’s an update to Brink of Speed’s C8 Corvette Transmission Problem
GM wanted Classic Chevrolet to check the ECM and update it and to learn the shift timing and did a global reset to let the modules go to sleep.
So far this has fixed the C8 Corvette transmission for Brink of Speed’s car. Also, as an added bonus his local Chevy dealer Classic Chevrolet was able to get the higher ups at Chevrolet to add a 5 year 100,000 mile warranty extension on to his C8 Corvette as well. So at this time he will not be getting a new C8 Corvette transmission since they were able to to fix it. If anything changes we will update this post for you so bookmark our site for further information.
Weight and Horsepower of all three mid engine cars
Lamborghini Huracan Evo is 3,400 pounds and 600 horsepower
Ferrari 458 is 3,200 pounds and 570 horsepower
C8 Corvette Z06 is 3,700 pounds and 670 horsepower
The C8 Corvette Z06 is over $100,000 less than both the Ferrari 458 and the Lamborghini Huracan Evo.
The C8 Corvette Z06 clearly kills the Ferrari 458 from a dig and a roll its not even close. The C8 Corvette Z06 also kills the Lamborghini Huracan Evo from a dig and gapped the Huracan EVO even bogging on the launch.
The 2023 C8 Corvette Z06 pulls away from the Lamborghini Huracan Evo even in a roll race as well. It’s clear the New 2023 C8 Corvette Z06 is the best value for he money and an exotic and super car killer!
Even with giving the Ferrari 458 and the Lamborghini Huracan Evo the hit and car lengths the C8 Corvette Z06 kills both cars. Now you can see why there are thousands of people waiting on lists for over 2 years waiting for this car to come out. It’s the same engine as the C8.R Race car that is dominating the IMSA race series that is going to be made available to the public once the orders start flowing again in January. For now the lucky 300 or so allocations that were given out in August are going to have a treat once the C8 Corvette Z06 production starts and they start rolling of the line and are delivered to their respective local Chevy dealerships.
The press embargo has lifted and finally all the YouTubers that were given access to the New 2023 C8 Corvette Z06 at PittRace Pittsburgh International Race Complex are able to share their real time VIDEO reviews of the all new C8 Z06.
And just like we have doing for the C8 Corvette Reviews we have made it easy for you to watch all the C8 Corvette Z06 reviews all in one place and will keep this post updated so bookmark, share, and link to this page to check back as more Automotive press release their reviews of the all new Mid Engine Corvette Z06

The 2023 Corvette C8 Z06 ($106,000 in the US, $128,000 starting in Canada) aspires to achieve a formidable goal: to slay supercar titans and crush its competition for a fraction of the cost. The mad scientists at Corvette say they designed it to have both the soul of a Ferrari 458 and the clinical speed of a Porsche GT2 RS. An extremely bold claim. 670 horsepower. 8600 rpm redline. This is the most powerful naturally aspirated V8 in any production car ever. Will it be able to live up to its mighty expectations? Thomas and James aim to find out. We hope you enjoy the episode. The 2023 C8 Corvette Z06 Is Ferrari’s Worst Nightmare
The 2023 C8 Corvette Z06 could possibly be the most anticipated sports car of the year. From the very moment you step in the C8 Z06 your mind says “this…can’t be a Corvette.” That’s exactly what Chevrolet wanted you to think and what they have accomplished is astounding. They built a flat plane crank V8 completely from scratch with none of the drawbacks of a high revving engine. The Z06 actually in fact became the first car in years to have me sit back and ask myself “what time do we live in?” Ferrari better watch out – the Corvette is coming for you.
2023 Corvette C8 Z06 | Making Cars Great Again
We provide one of the most in-depth looks at the new 2023 Corvette C8 Z06. We talked to the engineers about the approach and difficulties of designing a 670HP naturally aspirated V8 in the modern age. With more exotic performance and a starting price of nearly $105,000, there will be plenty of discussions about how this resets the internal combustion supercar formula.
Is the NEW 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 a performance car WORTH the PRICE?
