In this video from Records Rebuilds on YouTube he shares his insights on the new C8 Corvette Z06 allocation numbers and what he predicts Ciocca Corvette will get since he is on their list like we are.

The C8 Corvette 2021 Year to Date C8 Sales numbers were leaked on a C8 Forum and Ciocca Corvette formerly Kerbeck sold 1,481 C8 Corvettes that they were allocated in 2021.

Records Rebuilds has been a pretty reliable source first sharing how to reserve a C8 Corvette with the #1 Corvette dealer in the country Ciocca Corvette and then how to get your reservation number with Ciocca since they received over 6,000 initial $2,000 deposits on the list date.

Based on these leaked sales numbers of 1,481 C8 Corvettes that Ciocca delivered he is predicting a low end number of 222-370 Z06 allocations in the first year which would be 15-25% of the same number of C8 Corvettes they sold in 2021.

We agree with this number as it has been historically shown that in the first year of the C7 Corvette Z06 production they made 8,653 C7 Z06 out of the 34,240 C7 Corvettes produced.

If you take 25% of 1,481 C8 Corvettes Ciocca delivered you get about 370 C8 Z06s. This is most likely the best number to go on for now especially considering the 1,481 C8 Corvettes sold at Ciocca last year was during these crazy times with the pandemic and supply chain issues not to mention the tornado hitting the factory and other shut downs.

Check out this video from C8 Moe on YouTube where he races a Lamborghini Urus vs his C8 Corvette.

Its a roll race maybe from 40MPH or so and as you can see the power to weight ratio kicks in and leaves the URUS in the dust.

Per the video description the only mod he has is an AWE Exhaust on his 2022 C8 Corvette vs the 2020 URUS.

In this video from Horizon Speed on YouTube he spots one of the Hypersonic Gray C8 Corvette Z06s in a parking lot in Michigan.

It’s most likely one of the Corvette engineers testing cars. But what is pretty cool is this the first one seen in the Hypersonic gray color with the full Z07 package. We have posted the C8.R Edition C8 Corvette in the Hypersonic Gray color when they were at Corvettes at Carlisle but this is the first one spotted in the C8 Z06 model.

Also, this video shows just how wide the front end of the Corvette C8 Z06 is especially with those dive planes. If you not going to track the car and you end up getting lucky enough to get a 1st year Z06 that Z07 package with the dive planes might not be the route to go.

For awhile we were posting updates on the Twin Turbo C8 Corvette Emelia Hartford built and was the first to get to the low 9 second 1/4 mile time. But then she stopped using her Twin Turbo C8 Corvette for content.

Also, along the way when she was uploading videos of her C8 Corvette the engine had to be repaired and the transmission had to have the DCT upgraded many times with Dodson clutches.

Each time she would attempt to break her record there was a tuning issue when running a piggy back set up since the C8 Corvette still has an encrypted ECU and you can’t tune them. Most say its because GM and Chevrolet don’t want to screw a tune with an over the air update or so people won’t be discouraged from buying their new C8 Z06 or C8 Corvette ZR1 once they start building them in a few years and tune them to higher horsepower than they will be.

Emelia Hartford mentioned she has been doing a lot of testing with a new intercooler, DI injectors, and they rerouted PCP lines as well as keep testing on the Dyno with a new control module to try to trick the car to handle the boost.

In the meantime, FuelTech has secured the world record for the fastest C8 Corvette in the world currently achieving an 8.97 at 160.92 MPH in the quarter mile.

Sounds like Emelia Hartford will be uploading more C8 Corvette content very soon once she gets her Twin Turbo C8 Corvette dialed in again.

In this latest Emelia Hartford C8 Corvette video she blows her engine trying to beat her quarter mile record and try to get low 9s (9.36) or 8 second quarter mile passes. As you can see by her videos and her commentary its not that easy with the base model stingray with a Twin Turbo kit and clutch issues.
