725+ HP Tuned ProCharger C8 Corvette (Faster Than C8 Z06)

ProCharger Superchargers has just launched a new fully tuned factory stage II procharger for the Corvette C8. They are now the first company in the world that offers a way to boost the power of your C8 Corvette more than a C8 Corvette Z06.

They have a new fully calibrated Powertrain Control Module for supercharged C8 Corvette owners worried about their DCT or Dual Clutch Transmissions slipping as they are known to do in the over 650HP range.

Their new supercharger bolt on kit now provides 725 plus horsepower with an intercooled system for the Corvette C8. In the video below you will see they clocked in at 668HP to the wheel and then 652HP on the 2nd pull when it was running hotter. These were done on the Dyno Jet vs their Mustang dyno. They notice about a 10-12% drivetrain loss to crank.

They have been working on a refined super charger for the C8 Corvette since November, 2020 as we wrote about in these two articles below.

That’s right the Corvette C8 ProCharger Systems can now be ordered with fully tuned factory PCMs. Thanks to having full control over thousands and thousands of parameters, these systems can now offer customers up to 725+ horsepower even on the factory fuel system and pump gas. Plus the driveability is like none other, with the shift and clutch controls also being dialed in for the massive increase in HP.

How to Fix Paint Chips on a Corvette C8?

Searching for ways to fix the paint chips especially on the front of your Corvette C8? In this video by NuHorizon C8 he provides a step by step solution.

In some cases Corvette C8 owners take the gamble and don’t add any paint protection film or PPF to their car. When this happens you can start acquiring paint chips along the way  especially in high frequency impact points like your front bumper or front hood and fenders.

In this video NuHorizon C8 on YouTube provides a really good detailed video on the step by step process of how to fix and repair paint chips on his Corvette C8. He tests two different products and processes and once you watch the video you will see some great results and outcome.

Regardless of the paint chip repair kit you use whether you go with AC Delco or the preferred Dr. Color Ship you will need really good micro fiber towels like the ones from Chemical guys and a BEST SELLER here on Amazon

Hello all. So its time to check out how the paint looks on the C8 Corvette after 28,000 Miles. I never installed Paint Protection Film, or PPF for short, and its time to see how many paint chips the C8 has collected and check out how effective two different paint chip repair kits can be at covering these up. Its a lot of good information and a good how a good paint chip repair kit can save your car from costly repaint work if you never installed PPF. Enjoy! TIMELINE:

Need Side Skirts for Your C8 Corvette?

In this video by Paragon Performance they show how to install Verus Engineering Side Skirts. Verus Engineering is one of the options for side skirts for the Corvette C8 that you can find under $1,000.

Most of the aftermarket side skirts you will find are well over $2,000 so if you are looking for another option for your Corvette C8 side skirts under $1,000 check out these Verus Engineering Side Skirts you can find on Paragon Performance website.

C8 Corvette Side Skirts

For example these C8 Corvette Side Skirts in the video below were on sale at the time of this post for $649.99 and are usually priced at $799.00

The Verus Engineering Carbon Polyweave Side Splitter Kit completes the aerodynamic appearance of your Chevrolet C8 Corvette.

These units were designed specifically to flow with the factory rocker panel and feature a horizontal member which reduces the amount of high-pressure air making its way to the bottom side of the vehicle. This high-pressure air produces lift and by reducing this, we reduce lift on the chassis. This is specifically prevalent while the vehicle is in yaw or while turning.

• Reduce Lift (Increase Downforce)
• Improve Overall Aerodynamic Efficiency
• Reduce Lap Times • Increase Gas Mileage
• Will Not Grab and Bend Surfaces Like Aluminum Units
• Will Not Crack and Break Like Carbon and ABS Units
• Abrasive resistant while stiff

** PLEASE NOTE THIS IS POLYWEAVE – It is NOT CLEAR CARBON FIBER.  Polyweave will have some inconsistencies in the material.  THIS IS NOT FOR CAR SHOWS,  IT IS FOR RACE CARS!

C8 Corvette Z06 Ripping Around Laguna Seca Raceway

In this video by Speed Phenom he highlights the new 2023 C8 Corvette Z06 on Laguna Seca Raceway press day for Monterey Car week.

You can see what it’s like for the C8 Corvette Z06 to rip around the track similar to the video we posted by 615 drive a few months back at the Indy 500 as well where he was the first one to post a ride along of the C8 Corvette Z06 around a track.

The biggest difference with the new C8 Corvette Z06 vs the base stingray model is the new flat plane crank with the Ferrari 458 like high revving high RPM exhaust sounds.

The driver demonstrates a “stealth” mode on the new C8 Corvette Z06 that quiets the C8 Z06 down but not sure many owners will be using that and will prefer to hear the exhaust notes.

Join us on historic and legendary Laguna Seca for the debut laps in the new 2023 Corvette Z06!

Also, in the description of the video Austin has reduced the price of huis C8  Corvette C8.R edition to $119k if you are interested.

2023 Chevrolet C8 Corvette Z06 Markups! (VIDEO)

In this video by Speed Phenom on YouTube he visits a few local dealers in his area in Southern California to not only see the C8 Corvette mark ups that have continued these last few years but also other brands like Ford and Porsche marking up their vehicles as well.

As the supply chain issue persists, inflation has risen to over 9%, and with short supplies and high demand for performance vehicles like the C8 Corvette Z06 some dealerships are still taking advantage and charging $20k-$200k in mark ups on the most sought after cars. That mark up is pure profit for each dealership.

Recently we posted a video of StreetSpeed717 facing this same issue trying to get his 2nd C8 Corvette Z06 since he already took the first placement with Matt Beaver at Whitmoyer Auto Group in Pennsylvania. Streetspeed1717 learned that the other Chevy dealer wanted $100k plus markup to move him up on their C8 Z06 list.

Chevrolet and General Motors are trying to combat dealers with memos and flippers with voiding the warranty on the C8 Corvette Z06 if you sell it before the first year of ownership.

However, that will not stop a flipper it might stop the potential for used car dealers to buy it or the second owners of the C8 Z06 that lose the warranty potentially. They are blacklisting people that flip the C8 Z06 from getting access to newer C8 Corvette models or Corvette models in the future as well.

What is UP Youtube?  Welcome to Fred’s Full Throttle! So here we are mid July, (lunge) ….and we don’t have the Z06 pricing yet.  Not really a surprise, as I think the surprise will be whenever it gets announced. However in the meantime, I’ve had a few people ask me about my thoughts on pricing and specifically what people should be willing to pay.  Today we’re going to talk about pricing, and specifically my thoughts on how much over MSRP I’d be willing to pay. Towards the end of this video Mike StreetSpeed717 talks about a Chevy Dealer in Houston Mac Haik charging 90k over MSRP for the C8 Corvette Z06

C8 Corvette E Ray Prototype Goes Up In Flames (VIDEOs)

In this video by ICNV Drivers Edition he discusses the recent Corvette E-ray prototype goes up in flames while testing in Spain.

The Hybrid electric Corvette E Ray is suppose to be a competitor to the Acura NSX with front electric motors that assist the front wheels along with the C8 Corvette Stingray engine in the rear. The C8 Corvette E Ray is going to be the first step in electrifying the Corvette before going full electric to compete with Tesla with their Roadster if that ever comes out and their current Tesla Model S Plaid that does 0 to 60 in 1.99 seconds and the quarter mile at 154 mph in the low 9s.

He is covering the C8 Corvette E Ray prototype news from Motor1.com, CarBuzz, and Road & Track.

Per Motor1.com news Chevrolet provided this statement.

Chevrolet has issued a statement regarding the fiery incident. In an e-mail to Motor1.com, Trevor Thompkins, Senior Manager, Chevrolet Passenger Cars, Performance and Motorsports Communications at General Motors, said:

“A Corvette development vehicle undergoing extreme testing by one of our suppliers this week had a thermal incident. All who were involved are safe as this is our top priority.  We are investigating the situation with the supplier.”

You can learn more about the C8 Corvette Eray Prototype going up in flames and catching fire in his video below.

C8 Z06 Tour Hits Whitmoyer Auto Group

As the C8 Corvette Z06 makes its rounds on the dealer tour it finally hit Whitmoyer Chevy or Whitmoyer Auto Group where at least 4-5 YouTubers are ordering their C8 Z06 from Matt Beaver who’s good friends with StreetSpeed717.

In these videos below from TurboTrouble, Jaret Campisi, My Calculated Randomness and even Mike StreetSpeed717 you can get an up and close look at the new C8 Z06. Also, they get some revs and start ups.

Everyone is blown away about the the new C8 Corvette Z06 and lists our over 6,000+ at one of the top Corvette dealers in the country. Since the C8 Corvette came out it’s taken the Automotive industry hype of a new model car to a new level.

Matt Beaver is putting in orders for Jaret Campisi & Christina Khalil, the Stradman, TJ Hunt, Dragtimes, and of course StreetSpeed717.

StreetSpeed717 just found out how insane the C8 Corvette Z06 mark ups really are when he checked on the 2nd list he was on for another C8 Z06 besides the one he is getting with Matt Beaver and they wanted $100,000 over MSRP.

In this video you can see another set of YouTubers Jaret and Christina Khalil order their C8 Z06 with Matt Beaver.

THE NEW C8 CORVETTE Z06 UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL

StreetSpeed717 Learns About C8 Z06 Mark Ups (VIDEO)

In this video by Mike (StreetSpeed717) on YouTube he reached out to another Chevy Dealership for a second C8 Corvette Z06 since he already was first on his buddy Matt Beaver at Whitmoyer Chevy’s List.

As he went to go check in on his 2nd C8 Corvette Z06 list the Chevy saleswoman called him back and said he is still on the list but the current mark up was $100,000 and if he paid more he can get pushed higher up in the front of the line.

Although this was shocking for StreetSpeed717 since he is use to Matt at Whitmoyer hooking him up with the 1st position on his Corvette lists as they come out he wasn’t aware the other Chevy dealers have gone this insane.

Also, this isn’t anything new since even starting with the C8 Corvette in March of 2020 as they hit lots Chevy dealers from our own personal experience here in Arizona were charging $20k plus mark ups on that car. Van Chevrolet and Gateway Chevrolet being a few examples.

Currently this weekend we checked the local Arizona market and Van Chevrolet is still 100k over MSRP, 10k deposit, Midway Chevrolet wants 50k mark ups and supposedly have 16 people ready to pay that.

Earnhardt Chevrolet was over 75k MSRP, Gateway Chevrolet told us they have someone willing to pay 74.9k over MSRP, 5 other people willing to pay 50K over but we could be 6th on their list at MSRP unless we wanted to beat the $74.9k mark up.

Although GM is sending out letters and trying to stop flippers with the $5000 Chevy Rewards offer and no warranty if you sell the C8 Z06 within the first 12 months the bigger issue is the Chevy Dealers.

If GM and Chevrolet really wanted to stop the over MSRP nonsense they could take the Tesla approach only on the Corvette brand let people buy directly from them and have them delivered to their door or local Chevy Dealer for pick up. The Chevy dealers will still get the service on the Corvettes and then Chevrolet can price the Corvettes higher to keep flippers from making any profit on a flip.

Here are more articles we have written about the insane mark ups on the C8 Corvette and C8 Corvette Z06 over the last two years.
