In this video from Rick Corvette Conti on YouTube he shares the latest C8 Corvette news and has a date set for his C8 Corvette “Evil Knievel ” type of stunt jump which is December 19th, 2021.
C8 Corvette Plant Slowdowns
Rick mentions a lot of his C8 Corvettes for customers are just sitting at the Bowling Green, KY plant for over month that he thought he should of received by now.
C8 Corvette Z06 Pricing
Rick also shares his thoughts on the C8 Corvette Z06 Pricing YouTube videos and confirms its all speculation as he speculates the pricing will come out in January or February 2022 from Chevrolet and General Motors officially.
Heated Steering Wheel
If you don’t get a heated steering wheel with any GM vehicle you get a $25.00 credit, 1 year free remote access plan, and they will retrofit your car when the part comes in since it’s been effected like many things with the supply chain and chip shortage.
Rick Corvette Conti C8 Corvette Jump
Rick Conti mentions he will be jumping his C8 Corvette Evil Knievel style with a full video production type video on December 19th, 2021. He will be sharing the video on his YouTube channel here and he has already completed the jump and has some slight injuries from that and also jumping over his car.
He mentions he messed up his C8 Corvette Convertible by jumping it but it is currently fixed already. It was a lot more damage then he expected and you will have to watch his YouTube channel Dec 19th to see the video of the C8 Corvette jump.
C8 CORVETTE JUMPS OVER ANOTHER C8
So here is the video of Rick Corvette Conti Jumping a C8 Corvette over another C8 Corvette. Real or Fake with good high production paid for editing? Leave your comment below.
He conveniently does the “jump” at night, in the rain, in a “private lot” that looks like a commercial building or school parking lot. You don’t see him land or go ramp to ramp and supposedly lands on asphalt but runs out of the car ok and the car flys down the concrete at 70MPH.
Unlike StreetSpeed717 where you clearly see him jump his lambo over his other lambo there is some fishy stuff going on here with Rick and looks more like a high production magic trick of the mind on some of his YouTube Commentors which also appear to fake? (a lot of comments from profiles with no pictures, videos on their page, about section blank ect..)
WHAT DID WE DO? EVEL KNIEVEL CORVETTE JUMP FOLLOW UP
Here is the follow up to the Rick Corvette Conti C8 Corvette jump that was fake and all for “entertainment” and “views”. So if you enjoy fake car jump videos this one is for you! lol
Check out this video from Brink of Speed on YouTube where he leaks the 2023 C8 Z06 Corvette pricing starting at $88,000.
He supposedly has a Chevrolet C8 Corvette Z06 build sheet with all the pricing including Carbon Fiber Wheels at $11,000 and the Z07 package adding another $9,500.
UPDATED – someone in the comments is saying they made this up. With the internet nowadays you never know what is true, false, made up. As we discussed in past C8 z06 posts its all pure speculation until Chevrolet or General Motors officially announces it.
Also, if you want to go with the 3LZ option that’s another $11,950. You will see in this build its priced out to about $144,000 including $8k in Tax.
Some other interesting pricing shows the C8 Corvette Z06 Convertible starting at $95,500 or $106,995 in the 3LZ option before adding the Z07 package or any other carbon fiber add ons for the C8 Corvette Z06.
In this video from Fred’s Full Throttle on YouTube has an “Insider Info, 2 Little Nuggets” section where he says he was told by MacMulkin Chevrolet they heard there are two new colors being considered for release for the 2023 C8 Corvettes.
Fred recently put his deposit down with MacMulkin in another recent video so maybe they mentioned it to him then.

So we have 1000 Horsepower AWD Tesla Plaid vs. 495 Horsepower Mid Engine Rear Wheel Drive C8 Corvette. We all know how this is going to start and end right?
Back in June of 2020 months after the C8 Corvettes started rolling out to customers we created this post on How to Lower the C8 Corvette as people started with the aftermarket mods.
One of the biggest issues cosmetically with the C8 Corvette is the big wheel gap and horrible stock wheel choices. The black trident wheel is probably the best option but again the offset isn’t as good as it could be and still a massive wheel gap that doesn’t look good for a mid engine sports car.
Since the wheels and wheel gap are an issue the most popular mods are getting aftermarket wheels for the C8 Corvette and lowering the C8 Corvette with exhausts, bolt ons, and wrapping their C8 Corvettes being very popular as well.
In this video most recent 2021 video by Paragon Performance and aftermarket marketplace for C8 Corvette mods explains every option depending on you having a base model C8 Corvette with no lift and no Z51 option to having the front lift and Z51 C8 Corvette stingray.
They sell front collars, suspension kits, and springs to lower your C8 Corvette. If you go to their site and order anything mention you found them on C8CorvetteBlog.com in the notes or when you call.
Check out this video by Brink of Speed on YouTube where he shares a video from a follower of his that recorded a Spokeswoman at the LA Auto Show announce a 10.4 1/4 Mile and 0 to 60 time of 2.6 seconds.
This is for the Non Z07 package that has the bigger wing and aero which is a more track focused car vs a drag strip car where you wouldn’t want to have the big wing from the Z07 package and much rather have the more sleeker duck bill type spoiler that the base model or non Z07 package C8 Z06 has.
Most auto manufacturers recommend changing air filers at about 15,000 miles. With the C8 Corvette there will be a service light that says “Change Air Filter at Next Oil Change Service”.
The C8 Corvette also provides a percentage of what is left on the factory air filter. However, if you want to purchase an aftermarket air filter to increase the life of your air filter and not have to change it as often there are many C8 Corvette air filter options from AFE and Attack Blue.
Our choice would be the Attack Blue air filter since we used it on our C8 Corvette and has slightly better Horsepower and Torque gains then the others. It also is Dry and Washable with just soap and water so you can reuse it as well.
In this video from Paragon Performance they test 3 aftermarket air filters and they were all pretty much the same 6+ HP gain with Attack Blue edging the other two out slight in the HP/Torque numbers.

⚡ QUICK ANSWER
TJ Hunt’s C8 is the car the Streethunter widebody kit was built on.
TJ Hunt is the YouTuber behind Streethunter Designs. His best-known Corvette is a twin-turbo C8 Stingray wearing the Streethunter widebody kit, designed by Jon Sibal and shown at SEMA 2021. Streethunter lists the kit at $6,000 with a fiberglass front lip or $7,000 with a carbon fiber lip, as of October 2026.
One thing first, because the names cause confusion. TJ Hunt the YouTuber is not me, and he has no relation to this site. I’m TJ, a C8 owner who writes here. This page is a profile of TJ Hunt’s widebody C8 Corvette and the kit that came out of it, with every price and date tied to a source.

Who TJ Hunt is
TJ Hunt is a car YouTuber. His channel follows his own car builds, and some of those builds became products. Autoblog’s February 2020 report on the C8 renderings described him as a YouTuber who had expanded into a clothing company and custom projects like sports car body kits. The C8 kit was announced under the Street Hunter Designs name, with Jon Sibal credited as the designer.
The C8 was not the first kit. Autoblog noted a Streethunter kit for the Toyota Supra already on sale at the time, and the Streethunter catalog today also carries a BRZ/GR86 wide body kit. The Corvette is the one that put him in front of Corvette people, mostly because the kit was developed in public on his own Stingray, one video at a time.
What the Streethunter C8 widebody kit includes
The maker’s product page for the C8 Wide Body Kit lists four parts groups in the base kit:
Front lip, in fiberglass (FRP) or carbon fiber. This is the only choice that changes the kit price.
Front bumper extensions.
Front fenders with carbon fiber inserts.
Rear flares.
The page calls the parts hand laid. It does not list fitment years, wheel offsets or install steps, so ask before you order if your car is a convertible or a Z06.
The big wing and the rear diffuser you see on TJ Hunt’s car are separate products. So are the side vents, the hood and the side skirt extensions. When the design was first shown, LSX Magazine reported that it left side skirts out on purpose, to avoid giving up clearance under the rockers.
⚠️ HEADS UP
Streethunter states that all FRP parts need proper bodywork before installing: sanding, prep for paint, and possibly filler and grinding to get the fit right. The listed price is parts only. Paint, body labor and wheels are on top.
What the kit costs in October 2026
These are the prices on Streethunter’s own site when I checked on October 10, 2026.

The kit is $6,000 with the fiberglass front lip and $7,000 with the carbon fiber front lip. The wing is $3,600 and the rear diffuser is $2,995. Add the wing and diffuser to the fiberglass-lip kit and the parts bill is $12,595 before a body shop touches the car. Side skirt extensions are another $2,000, the side vents are $995 a pair, and the hood starts at $1,600.
The price has come down. A CorvSport roundup from July 2024 listed the same kit at $8,400 with the fiberglass lip and $9,795 with the carbon lip.
The kit took about two years to go from measurements to a finished car on a show floor.

The design brief was a GT3 race car look. LSX Magazine’s February 2020 report listed wider fenders, rear quarter panels, a rear diffuser, a race wing and nose changes, with the wing compared to the one on GM’s C8.R. CorvetteBlogger’s August 27, 2021 write-up of the finished car credits SOS Customz with building it and describes a carbon fiber wing on struts, a carbon fiber rear diffuser and a carbon fiber front splitter on a Torch Red Stingray. It also noted the nose barely cleared the street leaving the shop, and that TJ Hunt still planned to lower the car.
The SEMA 2021 car: twin turbos and a version 1.5 kit
TJ Hunt’s C8 was at SEMA 2021 in the MagnaFlow exhibit, Central Hall booth 23343. MagnaFlow’s show write-up calls the car a 2021 Corvette C8 and lists a version 1.5 widebody kit, front and rear diffusers, twin turbos, upgraded Brembo brakes and the company’s xMOD cat-back exhaust. Vette Vues later reported that the kit also made it into Forza Horizon 5.
The turbo side went through more than one shop. PASMAG reported a prototype twin-turbo setup from Sheepey Race on the car. In March 2022, CorvetteBlogger covered Late Model Racecraft pulling the engine, upgrading the clutch and running the car on a FuelTech FT600 engine computer. None of those sources published a horsepower figure, so I am not printing one. For scale, a stock 2021 Stingray’s 6.2L LT2 makes 490 hp, or 495 hp with the performance exhaust.
If boost is the part you care about, this site’s twin-turbo C8 post covers another build.
Wheels and tires on TJ Hunt’s car
Here is what is on the record. The 2020 renderings showed HRE wheels. CorvetteBlogger described the finished car’s wheels as deep-dish and multi-spoke. I could not find the wheel widths, offsets or tire sizes in any source I can cite, and Streethunter’s product page does not list recommended wheel specs, so I am leaving sizes out instead of guessing.
The practical point stands without the numbers. Wider fenders with factory wheels leave the tire sitting inside the arch, so wheels belong in the budget next to the kit. My C8 aftermarket wheels guide is the place to start.
Video: TJ Hunt’s first drive in the widebody C8
This is the video from TJ Hunt’s own channel, titled “First Drive in the Widebody C8 Corvette”. It is his first drive with the widebody on the car, so it is a good look at how the kit sits on a real Stingray in motion.
🏁 OWNER TAKE
Two things I would think about before copying this build. First, ride height. When I lowered my Z06, the drop put the front lift out of its working range. Add a front lip to a lowered car and there is even less room to work with.
Second, the factory now sells width. The 2027 Grand Sport is the Z06 wide body with the 535 hp LS6. If you want the stance with a warranty, I would start there. If you want a look nobody at the dealer can order, that is what a kit like this is for.
TJ Hunt is a car YouTuber who builds modified sports cars on his channel and sells body kits through Streethunter Designs. Corvette people know him for his twin-turbo widebody C8 Stingray. He is a different person from TJ, the C8 owner who writes this site, and the two are not related.
What widebody kit is on TJ Hunt’s C8 Corvette?
It is the Streethunter Designs C8 Wide Body Kit, which was developed on that car. Jon Sibal designed it with a GT3 race car look. CorvetteBlogger showed the finished Torch Red Stingray in August 2021 with a carbon fiber wing, rear diffuser and front splitter.
How much is the Streethunter C8 widebody kit?
Streethunter Designs lists the C8 Wide Body Kit at $6,000 with a fiberglass front lip and $7,000 with a carbon fiber front lip, as of October 2026. That is parts only. The wing is $3,600 and the rear diffuser is $2,995, both sold separately, and paint, bodywork and installation are extra.
What comes in the C8 Street Hunter kit?
The base kit has four parts groups: a front lip, front bumper extensions, front fenders with carbon fiber inserts, and rear flares. The wing, rear diffuser, side vents, side skirt extensions and hood are separate products. Streethunter says its fiberglass parts need sanding and prep before paint.
Was TJ Hunt’s C8 Corvette at SEMA?
Yes. The twin-turbo widebody C8 was displayed at SEMA 2021 in the MagnaFlow exhibit, Central Hall booth 23343. MagnaFlow listed a version 1.5 widebody kit, front and rear diffusers, upgraded Brembo brakes and its xMOD cat-back exhaust on the car. It did not publish a horsepower figure.
Who built the twin-turbo setup on TJ Hunt’s C8?
PASMAG reported a prototype twin-turbo setup from Sheepey Race on the car. In March 2022, CorvetteBlogger covered Late Model Racecraft reworking it with a FuelTech FT600 engine computer and an upgraded clutch. Neither source published a horsepower number, so none is quoted on this page.
