In this video Emelia Hartford share the first Quarter Mile and 0 to 60 (zero to sixty) times in the all New 2023 C8 Corvette Z06 which Chevrolet says is 10.6 quarter mile and 2.6 0 to 60.
You will notice Emelia Hartford takes off traction control and gets a better time and closer to the 10.6 quarter mile Chevrolet and General Motors says the car does.
Also, Chevrolet gives Emelia Hartford some insights on how to launch it quicker with rapid exit. In this scenario you hold both paddle shifters which puts it into neutral then let go of one of the shifters and then pull back the shifters again and you can hear the RPMs go higher for launch in the PTM Race 1 mode.
She also gets a lot better results with a prepped track vs no prep track using this mode. She also learns you can manually adjust the RPM and slip % on launch control so you are able to customize that to your liking.

However, everyone is still wondering if production of the 300+ known allocations and possible 500 more “VIP” orders General Motors hand selected like Emelia Hartford, TJ Hunt, and the Stradman will still go into production this month.
StreetSpeed717 confirmed 3 YouTubers were hand selected by Chevrolet and General Motors at his local Chevy dealer in Pennsylvania at Whitmoyer Chevrolet.
There is also speculation General Motors is hand selecting these people in a unique way since EddieX and Speed Phenom on YouTube also were selected to get their orders of the C8 Corvette and Eddie X never owned Corvette before unlike Speed Phenom that has a “track” focused YouTube channel and since StreetSpeed717 was more “TRX” focused lately with his channel jumping cars.
And further speculation they are halting production because there is something wrong with the car now that its a flat plane crank engine and the highest NA horsepower engine ever built. Which is another reason why people are saying they are going to void the warranty if you don’t keep it at least 6 months and try to flip the car so they don’t have to pay to fix any of the issues.
Just when it was announced only 10% of C8 Corvettes were going to be C8 Z06 models or about 3,000 a year they pulled the rug out from everyone and stopped orders. There are people that have been on dealer lists for years that will have to continue to wait even longer for the new C8 Z06 that’s if they continue to wait at all or decide to switch over to a Acura NSX, McLaren, Porsche, Ferrari, or Lamborghini instead.

In this video Speed Phenom, Austin mentions he doesn’t have any inside information about the C8 Corvette Z06 production still starting on his hand selected allocation for the C8 Z06 but he doesn’t seem too worried about it.
Our guess is even though General Motors and Chevrolet halted orders for the 2023 C8 Corvette Z06 they are still going to start production on the 300+ allocations given out to dealers in August, 2022 including the hand selected “VIPs” and YouTubers they wanted to have the car.

Rick Corvette Conti on YouTube just let the Corvette community know that General Motors and Chevrolet are not accepting any more orders for the 2023 C8 Corvette Z06 until 2024!
The C8 Corvette has been nothing but issues since they debuted the car in the summer of 2019 in California. And when they did with a starting $59,995 price tag it increase the C8 Corvette demand like no other Corvette in it’s history being a new mid engine platform. People looked at it as they do with most Corvettes an American sports car with tremendous value.
Now almost three years later you can find C8 Corvettes selling above MSRP as many Chevy dealers marked up the C8 Corvette as well as the new and highly anticipated flat plane crank high revving C8 Corvette Z06 for 2023.
And as of today September 2nd, 2022 Rick Corvette Conti a Corvette sales person in Ohio at Coughlin Chevrolet of Pataskala received noticed they are no longer taking orders for the C8 Corvette Z06 until 2023! He mentioned its due to supply chain which funny enough has effected the entire United States in many areas since November of 2020.
Also, we found out that one of the first C8 Corvette allocations that were suppose to be built September 19th 2022 has been pushed back until November, 2022.

You can really see in this video that Jeff Strausser Corvette’s Brand Quality Manager is against modifications on the C8 Corvette and they will not warranty an aftermarket modification causing an issue or related to an issue on your Corvette C8.
In this video by Speed Phenom he is selling his C8R cheap to get ready for his C8 Corvette Z06 order that was picked up by Chevrolet as a “VIP” YouTuber order.
Since his C8 Corvette Z06 was picked up he is selling his C8R cheap to use the money towards the C8 Corvette Z06 track car he has coming.
He mentioned his C8 Z06 spec is $190,000 out the door with taxes so he has high expectation for the Corvette Z06 flat plane crank at the price.
He has paid well over $250,000 for a McLaren 600LT so he is use to paying “supercar” prices. He has had two C8 Corvettes so far including the C8R edition he is currently selling for $119,000 per one of he recent video descriptions.
In this video by Records Rebuilds he covers the Mac Haik Chevrolet $90,000 over MSRP debacle and leaked document showing that General Motors was going to limit C8 Corvette Z06 production to only 10% of previous years C8 Corvette Stingray production.
The document said 10% of National Allocation Quantity and the target production date is September 12th. As well as the 2023 Corvette Z06 Carbon Fiber would be reduced to 3% of National Allocation Quantity.
However they have started giving out 10% of allocations already and in the comments there will plant restrictions and supplier restrictions.
Records Rebuilds thinks they will ramp up to 30% of allocations to be the C8 Z06 model if they are already starting at 10%.
Mac Haik Chevrolet did reverse course and their General Manager Josh Potts said they will sell it at MSRP after the internet put them on blast.
C8 Z06 Corvette News – 10% limitation on Z06 is only temporary.
The biggest difference with the new C8 Corvette Z06 vs the base stingray model is the new flat plane crank with the Ferrari 458 like high revving high RPM exhaust sounds.
The driver demonstrates a “stealth” mode on the new C8 Corvette Z06 that quiets the C8 Z06 down but not sure many owners will be using that and will prefer to hear the exhaust notes.

CHEVY REVEALS NEW HANDLING SECRETS OF THE C8 CORVETTE Z06!
AS WE SAID, CONFIRMED TODAY, 1st official day of Z06 Corvette allocation release. We break down constraint items for Z06, how many allocations were released PLUS we talk about Stingray and its order availability for 2023 Corvette!
Rick confirms again the allocations are going to be a percentage of the 3LT Corvette sales the Chevy Dealership has accomplished since 2020 when the C8 Corvette came out.
Allocations come out once month and Coughlin Chevrolet of Pataskala a top 10 Chevy dealership received 0 allocations. However, Rick states that 196 C8 Corvette Z06 allocations were given across the 3,000 other Chevy dealers and assumes some of the C8 Z06s are based on VIPs .
Only 59 C8 Corvette Z06s can have the full carbon fiber package out the 196 C8 Corvette Z06 allocations for August.
C8 Corvette Z06 Allocation Update:
There were 281 allocations were given and 93 Z07 package models. Also, GM is limiting C8 Corvette Z06 production to only 10% of all of the C8 Corvette production which means its more likely to be in the 2500-3000 Corvette Z06s will be produced which is extremely low. There are at least two dealers with more than 2k people on their C8 Z06 lists. A lot of people are going to be disappointed for sure.
We reached out to one dealer that had 6 allocations and they are marking up all 6 by $100,000. Also, another Chevy dealer wouldn’t even say if they received allocations and said if they did the owner of the Chevy dealer is just going to order them himself and then let people buy them when they come in marked over $75,000.
