In this recent video by Speed Phenom on YouTube he takes a look at the performance stats on the 2023 C8 Corvette Z06 at the LA Auto Show.
He once again covers the 41lb weight reduction and Z07 aero package as well as the Cup 2 tires that help it perform in the low 10 second quarter mile range and around the track vs the Bugatti Chiron.
He also covers how normally a high revving natural aspirated flat plane engine wouldn’t have these type of performance numbers since its not supercharged or Twin Turbo.
Back in June of 2020 months after the C8 Corvettes started rolling out to customers we created this post on How to Lower the C8 Corvette as people started with the aftermarket mods.
One of the biggest issues cosmetically with the C8 Corvette is the big wheel gap and horrible stock wheel choices. The black trident wheel is probably the best option but again the offset isn’t as good as it could be and still a massive wheel gap that doesn’t look good for a mid engine sports car.
Since the wheels and wheel gap are an issue the most popular mods are getting aftermarket wheels for the C8 Corvette and lowering the C8 Corvette with exhausts, bolt ons, and wrapping their C8 Corvettes being very popular as well.
In this video most recent 2021 video by Paragon Performance and aftermarket marketplace for C8 Corvette mods explains every option depending on you having a base model C8 Corvette with no lift and no Z51 option to having the front lift and Z51 C8 Corvette stingray.
They sell front collars, suspension kits, and springs to lower your C8 Corvette. If you go to their site and order anything mention you found them on C8CorvetteBlog.com in the notes or when you call.
Check out this video by Brink of Speed on YouTube where he shares a video from a follower of his that recorded a Spokeswoman at the LA Auto Show announce a 10.4 1/4 Mile and 0 to 60 time of 2.6 seconds.
This is for the Non Z07 package that has the bigger wing and aero which is a more track focused car vs a drag strip car where you wouldn’t want to have the big wing from the Z07 package and much rather have the more sleeker duck bill type spoiler that the base model or non Z07 package C8 Z06 has.
Most auto manufacturers recommend changing air filers at about 15,000 miles. With the C8 Corvette there will be a service light that says “Change Air Filter at Next Oil Change Service”.
The C8 Corvette also provides a percentage of what is left on the factory air filter. However, if you want to purchase an aftermarket air filter to increase the life of your air filter and not have to change it as often there are many C8 Corvette air filter options from AFE and Attack Blue.
Our choice would be the Attack Blue air filter since we used it on our C8 Corvette and has slightly better Horsepower and Torque gains then the others. It also is Dry and Washable with just soap and water so you can reuse it as well.
In this video from Paragon Performance they test 3 aftermarket air filters and they were all pretty much the same 6+ HP gain with Attack Blue edging the other two out slight in the HP/Torque numbers.

One of TJ Hunt’s most famous cars is his Widebody C8 Corvette he built with his StreetHunter Designed Widebody kit, HRE wheels, and Twin Turbos by Late Model Racecraft.
We have been covering TJ Hunt’s Car Build of the C8 Corvette for the last year and a half. Including when he picked up his C8 Corvette from Matt Beaver at Whitmoyer Chevrolet thanks to his buddy Mike StreetSpeed717 having that local Chevy dealer connection via YouTube and Car Giveaways with Inshane Designs.
TJ Hunt’s World Famous TWIN TURBO Corvette C8 Just Got Faster!
In this latest video Late Model Racecraft has TJ Hunt’s Widebody C8 Corvette back in Texas and still trying to refine the top mounted Twin Turbo kit so it won’t spin as much and the transmission won’t slip.
It seems like those are the biggest issues with Twin Turbo C8 Corvettes the ECU is locked so they have to use piggy back systems like MoTeC or FuelTech and the dual clutch transmission can’t handle the increased horsepower so Dodson clutches has to keep building stronger clutches to test to get it just right.
Late Model Racecraft doesn’t share any times or horsepower numbers in this video but they have mentioned it was over 900HP previously. They mention a 1.9 60 foot with the tires spinning and in future videos they might take this to the track for a quarter mile time and possible some roll racing.
We finally got to test out TJ Hunt’s C8 on a track on the TX2K22 stage
Check out these videos from the Drive 615 YouTube channel and Instagram of @Drive615 by Byron Glover Jr. where he finds a 2023 Red Mist C8 Corvette Z06 at the Country Music Awards.
Per his video of the New Corvette Z06 C8
Exclusive look at a 2023 C8 Z06 Chevrolet Corvette in the wild. This 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Mid-Engine C8 Z06 was finished in red mist over the natural interior.
This particular spec was a 2023 Z06 Convertible and did not have the Z07 package. I waited outside the CMA (Country Music Awards) show here in Nashville Tennessee to see and hear this New Corvette Z06 start up and drive.
The exhaust note on the new 2023 C8 Z06 Chevrolet Corvette sounded so good and I was happy to see it moving about the streets of Nashville.
Also, he went back there at night to see them load it on a truck and got a side by side comparison of the 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 with his 2015 C7 Z06 Corvette. The 2023 Corvette z06 in Red Mist with the polished brushed standard wheels looked amazing.
2023 C8 Z06 vs. C7 Z06 [4K Comparison]
Per his 2023 Corvette Z06 Comparison video description
World’s first comparison of a 2023 C8 Z06 and a 2015 C7 Z06. This 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Mid-Engine C8 Z06 was finished in red mist over the natural interior. This particular spec was a 2023 Z06 Convertible and did not have the Z07 package.
I compare it to my 2015 C7 Z06 Corvette finished in Arctic white over an adrenaline red interior. You can hear both exhaust idling in one clip too.
The C8 Z06 LT6 engine produces 670 hp at 8,400 rpm and 460 lb-ft of torque at at 6,300 rpm. It also comes equipped with double overhead cams, dry-sump lubrication, and a flat-plane crankshaft. It revs to 8,600 RPM.
Check out this video by HorsePower Obsessed to learn what Chevy dealers are saying the new C8 Corvette Z06 pricing will be.
We have speculated in the $85-90k range since the C7 Z06 was about $25k more then the base C7 Z06.
In this video you will hear from HorsePower Obsessed thinks the $87,000 starting MSRP pricing for the Corvette C8 Z06 makes perfect sense before adding any options.
Keeping in mind this will be before any markups of the Corvette C8 Z06 which we have already heard anywhere from $20k minimum mark up to $200,000 mark ups currently.
After Justin with HorsePower Obsessed shared the pricing information that two Chevy dealers he works with told him the $87,000 price Brink of Speed jumped in with his two cents.
Keeping in mind this all speculation, however HorsePower Obsessed’s video does make it seem like a very likely his salesman that has had accurate information in the past is correct. It will be interesting to see if he is right again for now we can all make our guesses on the C8 Z06 pricing.

More C8 Z06 Corvette Pricing Speculation
Ever since HorsePower Obsessed posted the “confirmed” pricing his comment section, the corvette blogs and forums, and YouTubers have been jumping in. There are even comments that say “It’s going to start at $92,000 and this is coming from someone that has family members working from GM not in a car dealership”.
Now Speed Phenom has jumped in to say the $87,000 price of the Corvette Z06 C8 model is wrong and it will be $89,995 to start.
Check out his video where he provides his full price analysis for the new 2023 C8 Corvette Z06
It’s funny because if General Motors or Chevrolet announced pricing on the release date none of this content and speculation would even exist but it is fun trying to be Nostradamus I suppose.
THIS is why the C8 Corvette Z06 Pricing is Delayed!?
C8 Z06 Corvette MSRP Pricing Imminent!
We review the signs that pricing will soon be released for the C8 Z06 Corvette, the prototypes seen at the Indy 500, potential order dates, and possible CTF sightings.

Today, they have officially announced its ready to ship. Here are some of the highlights of ProCharger’s Supercharger for the Corvette C8. It’s interesting to note the horsepower increase is pretty close to the new C8 Z06 670HP with the flat plane crank and actually edging it out by 5+ HP or so.
This was a year long development process and they wanted to make sure everything was tested, fitted, and the drivability is good. Also, install was a bolt on the kit so it doesn’t take away from the trunk space and matches aesthetics and looks even better with their carbon fiber accents.
ProCharger Supercharger for C8 Corvette Highlights
.3 reduction in 0-60 times.
8 additional MPH in the 1/4 mile.
Reduction in lap times on road course.

Check out this video from HorsePower Obsessed as he covers the production date of the new 2023 C8 Corvette Z06 to start May 9th.
This aligns with a new video Rick Corvette Conti just posted we added to our post here. So if it starts on May 9th car dealers might be getting allocations for the C8 Z06 in Jan/Feb 2022.
Also, there has been buzz that the official pricing on the Corvette Z06 will be announced in April 2022 at the National Corvette Museum bash. The speculation is the base C8 Z06 will start in the $85-90k range and go up to $140k with the Z07 package, carbon fiber wheels, and fully loaded 3LZ model.
