Worlds First C8 Corvette Supercharger Kit: Now Shipping from ProCharger

Back in March, 2021 we wrote about the new Supercharger for the the C8 Corvette being created by ProCharger.

Today, they have officially announced its ready to ship. Here are some of the highlights of ProCharger’s Supercharger for the Corvette C8. It’s interesting to note the horsepower increase is pretty close to the new C8 Z06 670HP with the flat plane crank and actually edging it out by 5+ HP or so.

This was a year long development process and they wanted to make sure everything was tested, fitted, and the drivability is good. Also, install was a bolt on the kit so it doesn’t take away from the trunk space and matches aesthetics and looks even better with their carbon fiber accents.

ProCharger Supercharger for C8 Corvette Highlights

  • .3 reduction in 0-60 times.
  • 8 additional MPH in the 1/4 mile.
  • Reduction in lap times on road course.
  • 675+ HP on the dyno when using 93 octane.

Per ProCharger’s YouTube video:

After over a year of research, design, and rigorous testing the wait is finally over, and it’s SO worth it! ProCharger superchargers is happy to announce the world’s first supercharger system for the C8 Corvettes is NOW SHIPPING! That’s right, you can have Z06 power, without the wait!

Per ProCharger’s Website: More Info here

They went with Paragon Performance Lowering Springs, Michelin Pilot 4S Tires, and Apex Race Parts EC7 Wheels.

Chevrolet Just Revealed the 2023 C8 Corvette Before the REVEAL???

Chevrolet just revealed the 2023 C8 Corvette Z06 BASE model on Twitter and Instagram and we are seeing mixed messages from potential customers and Corvette fans online.

Most C8 Corvette owners like it but aren’t “wowed” especially the C8 Corvette owners that already have heavily modified their current C8 Corvettes with wheels, exhausts, lowering springs ect…

Also, Chevrolet is really teasing the new C8 Z06 since we all know from the Nurburgring videos of the C8 Z06 that there are going to be variants and a track focused C8 Z06 with a bird like wing with a Z07 package.

It will be interesting to see what happens on October 26th when we get to see every C8 Z06 variant and option including the details of the flat plane crank engine, C8 Z06 convertible, performance numbers, C8 Z06 colors, and possible weight reduction with a magnesium DCT.

2023 C8 Stingray & 70th Corvette Pricing HERE! INSIGHT to Z06 Price?

In this video from Cars, Costs and Technology on his take on C8 Corvette Pricing. Do you think he is right and the C8 Corvette pricing will come down?

He does say its going to hold it’s value and thinks it will stay above what you paid for it but thinks the 25-30k mark ups are going to go away. Funny enough we posted about the C8 Z06 is going to be marked up as researched from us personally and by one of Speed Phenom’s videos. And most dealers have lists of over 1000 people wanted a C8 Z06 and again is going to be hard to get and marked up.

The most we seen in an email from a Chevy dealer is they are going to mark up a C8 Corvette Z06 $200,000. And most are saying they will mark it up $25-$50k. There are only a few dealers like Ciocca Corvette, Macmulkin, Criswell, and Whitmoyer that are selling at MSRP but there wait times and lists are so long it can take a year or more to get it at that price.

Even in the last month or so in 2021 there are still dealers marking up the C8 Corvette at 50k as shown here too. And recently a 25,000 mile C8 Corvette that was tracked hard sold for $85k at Carmax which is still insane especially with that high of miles in such a short period of time of less than 2 years.

So not really sure how much the C8 Corvette pricing will come down if at all in the next year since its going to be hard to get a C8 Z06 and the production levels of the C8 Corvette is still a lot lower than the C7 Corvettes. And C7 Corvettes are still selling for high prices with the used car market, inflation, strike, plant closures, and chip shortages. There really hasn’t been any sign from Chevy or General Motors they are going to double production. And the C8 Z06 is just going to create even more buzz for the brand and people wanting to get a C8 Corvette even if they can’t get the C8 Z06.

2023 C8 Corvette Z06 Pricing

Recently we posted another article about the 2023 C8 Corvette Z06 pricing starting at $88,000 based on a build sheet which is close to two Chevy dealers saying it was going to start at $87,000. Read more here and watch these videos.

However we will have the C8 Corvette Z06 Pricing by the end of March 2022 which has been speculated to start in $87,995 to $92,995 range for the base model C8 Z06 vs the C8 Corvette Z06 Z07 package with the carbon fiber wheels and all of the carbon fiber options.

Per Records Rebuilds on YouTube We review the signs that pricing will soon be released for the C8 Z06 Corvette, the prototypes seen at the Indy 500, potential order dates, and possible CTF sightings.

C8 Corvette Update with Harlan Charles and the Corvette Team

In this video by Harlan Charles and the C8 Corvette team he covers all of the production stats, pricing, options and more about the C8 Corvette at the Corvette Museum.

Harlan Charles is the Corvette Product Marketing Manager and towards the end he takes questions from the audience and gives as much information as possible accept for the new C8 Z06 of course.

He even mentions they don’t even know a location they will use for the C8 Z06 release date information on October 26th, 2021.

He covers this and MORE about the C8 Corvette

  • Awards they received for the C8 Corvette
  • Best Resale Value
  • First ever Right Hand Drive
  • The difference between the Corvette C1 in 1981 to now and the 2020 C8 Corvette

What Does the Corvette C8R Edition Really Cost? (IS IT Worth it?)

Check out this video from Brink of Speed as he uses the new 2022 Corvette builder as prices just went live to build the new C0rvette C8R edition.

He uses the Corvette C8R edition as an example to show you what it really costs by adding a C8R graphics package with a plaque. The C8R Edition doesn’t change the engine, DCT or any performance elements to the car.

Just adding the Corvette C8R edition adds $12,940 more to the base model 2022 C8 Corvette stingray. It adds the Z51 package and a lot of the 3LT options along with black trident spoke wheels.

Other than the Jake logo, plaque, and stickers along with the new Hypersonic gray color everything else is the same as the 2020 and 2021 C8 Corvette models. The new Hypersonic grey color is included but if you want the accelerate yellow C8R Edition C8 Corvette its another $500.00

He also specs it based on what Chevrolet showed what they looked like at the Corvettes at Carlisle tent. It came to another $25,390 dollars (just for looks) in options to match what they did with the carbon fiber package as well.

If you built this yourself it would be probably a quarter of that $25k as Brink of Speed points out. The only difference is saying you have one of the 1000 they are building. It really does seem like a marketing gimmick and wouldn’t be a good idea if you already own a C8 Corvette. It’s similar to the Callaway C8 Corvette that had only appearance changes but no performance upgrades. It could be a cool option if you never owned a C8 Corvette before as your first C8 Corvette you purchase but it doesn’t seem like an overpriced marketing gimmick.

We have already covered using an aftermarket company like Racing Sport Concepts for carbon fiber parts for the C8 Corvette is a way better option to save money and have high quality carbon fiber parts.

Is the 2022 Corvette C8R Special Edition WORTH buying or WAIT for the C8 Z06?

The ALL NEW C8R Special Edition is here and Chevrolet wants to celebrate for 2022. This C8 is based on a 3LT Vette with the Z51 pkg. Under the engine cover is a 6.2L V8 pumping out 495HP & mated to an 8-speed DCT. On the outside there are two available colors, special graphics, and extra aero. On the inside you will find unique colors and touches. Is the 2022 Corvette C8R Special Edition WORTH buying or WAIT for the C8 Z06?

C8 Corvette Production Numbers (VIDEO, Convertibles Sky Rocket)

Check out this video from Cars, Costs, and Technology where he covers the C8 Corvette production numbers from 2020 and 2021 so far and compares them to the C7 Corvette production numbers.

As you will see thanks to the chip shortage, UAW strike, and Covid the C8 Corvette production numbers are down vs. C7 Corvette typical production.

  • 2021 there were 26,216 C8 Corvettes produced
  • 2020 there were 20,368 C8 Corvettes produced

The first year of the C7 Corvette in 2014 there were 37,288 C7 Corvettes produced which is only 9,000 units less then both 2020 and 2021 C8 Corvette production combined.

Also, another thing you will see in the video is that C8 Corvette Convertible skyrocketed especially in the 2021 model production year.
